Am I missing something? Didn't we sign Martin on a one year contract with an option to extend. We have just signed him up for a further 2 ? years.

Last year the first time the first XI played together was against Plymouth and what a mess that was. The final fixtures needs the first team to get into a rythm playing together without 6/7 players that will not figure anywere near the first team for the rest of the season.

If he really wanted to be here he would be already signed. It looks like he is hanging on, hoping that a club he is interested in comes in for him. If that is the case, it is better he goes somewhere else.

Maybe that worked when the police used to come running. Calling the police now is a waste of time they take longer to respond than a letter to Australia. As for the knife, we all know there is an epidemic of knife carriers on the street again nothing being done about it. Defending one's home against intruders who break in should have immunity from prosecution whatever the injury. Secondly where groups are involved in crimes and not all are arrested & convicted, those that are should be locked up indefinitely until they name their accomplices.

I was told that the club's intention is to strengthen the spine without being given any detail. That means to me any combination of goalkeeper/centre back/centre midfield/striker and this would be a logical and welcome move if true. I suspect that Joe Mills has a reasonable added value to Doncaster over and above any fee.

You have pretty much summed it up for me, 'He'd give Hammond a run for the CMF spot'. I just think we need something more than that. The spine needs strengthening with better players than we've got, not players that just manage to challenge the ones that are here for a place. Anybody we sign needs to be a certain starter. More like Fonte in stature.

I've seen him play and I don't think he is going to give us anything we don't have already. I still think it isn't going to happen, although with Kevin Nolan to WHU on a reported £55k a week I doubt he'll be going there as a first team starter.

Over priced and over rated, reported pay would be equal with our best paid player. We can do a lot better for a lot less.

Allerdyce isn't a cheap option, either wages or the players he will want to sign.

Until the law bans them from trespassing they should be blocked in, the Police, HMRC, DVLC etc etc should then go through them with a fine tooth comb for any law breaking which in itself would act as a deterrent.
