Of course they do Bill, otherwise there would have been a clear statement a week ago reiterating the league rules and when and how they would be applied.

In a nutshell, there is firstly apathy outside the site, secondly news is a one hit business, getting the media to keep this going is difficult, thirdly it won't really kick off until the administrator comes out and says 'that's it, we don't have a buyer, it's the backup plan or we're finished' That's when the media will kick in, the fans will go into panic mode and the incentive is there to save the club. At the moment the public are working on the assumption that it won't happen to us, that we are too big, valuable etc, somebody is bound to buy us. We shall see, the important thing is to be ready to act if things go badly. Pledges are all very well but are an indication of interest. -
Pretty much. Already three sets of lawyers have disected the league's rule. They have obviously come to the same conclusion and the league already know the answer. Mawhinny is a politician, together with the committee, don't want their paw prints on this, so have handed the job of breaking the news to yet another group of lawyers, who will come to the same inevitable conclusion as the others at great expense. They will then display mock horror and declare that the 'loophole' will be closed. Firstly there is no loophole, the rule would only apply if SFC Ltd was in administration and it's not. In any event it is the FA/league rules which stipulated the public company had to be independent from the football club company. No club can sue the league having agreed to waive that right as a condition of entry to the league, they can only use the appointed tribunals of the league's grievance procedures. SLH Ltd can however sue the pants off the league if they cause them losses by damaging their asset, as they are a public company outside the jurisdiction of the football authorities..

Apologies Bill, yes I was going to send you an email with my address but got wrapped up in all this. I'll be in touch shortly and fill you in on everything. The Lexus incident must have hacked you off big time.

Thats just it, we are not in administration, it's getting really frustrating pointing out to people who can't be bothered to read the information, or are really too thick to understand the most simple facts. SLH Ltd. the publically quoted owners of the whole shareholding in SFC Ltd (the club) are in administration. SFC Ltd, the club, are not in administration and are still trading. The significance of the club going into administration is the immediate penalty of 10 points deducted after the last match of the season if we are NOT relegated, which would then ensure relegation, OR in the event of being relegated already the 10 point deduction is applied at the start of next season. The league have a massive problem as the company in administration is a public company not in their jurisdiction. SFC Ltd which is under their jurisdiction is NOT in administration. That is why they have called an enquiry. That is why the sale of Dyer contracted with Swansea for about £500,000 should ensure solvency for the forseeable future. Buying time to sort out new ownership of SLH and avoid a 10 point deduction. No new owner given the choice would entertain not selling Dyer, and the football club as a result going into administration. Furthermore he is being sold, short of unforeseen events.

Your comments are much appreciated, I hope we are never needed, that would be the best result.

Maybe when people get advance information and post it on here the cynics and know nothings that rubbish it immediately should wait and see. This sort of information would have no source as it was information that neither club had announced. I am hearing all sorts of things now, but I'm damned if I'm going to put any of it on here. The funny thing is, the know nothing, do nothing critics and it's always the same ones never apologise for their unwarranted remarks when proved premature.

I'll take those things up Terry, there is only one initiative, the club's emergency fundraising is really a side issue, not for them but for us. The website is the focal point for the initiative and pledges and no matter the source everything is channelled back to the saintsweb/saveoursaints. 1 & 6 were dealt with today, Echo looking to put a daily update panel and web address plus article, on BBC Solent by Kevan James and Radio Hampshire, Stuart Dennis/myself/Mark Dennis all giving the address.

Don't bother Frank, it hinges on so many imponderables, I wouldn't even dream of giving the subject thought at the moment. The only situation that this initiative will see the light of day is if there are no buyers and the club is going out of business. In the unlikely event of a preferred bidder not being able to close a bid we could appeal to be able to assist the bid. The whole criteria in the event would be to live within the income and don't spend what the club hasn't got. That is the only criteria to consider and the only time any money would be required. The only caveat is that if there was a good buyer who was unable to close a deal then an appeal to help that bid could be considered. -
Thanks Mark, not much more we can say.

Hopefully not thankfully, that is unless you know they are finished. Exeter is a fan owned club they learn't quickly that the fans don't run the club but they own it. The right managers are now used to run the club and are allowed to manage.
-
It could be that the money has been paid, but because a club has to pay all it's football debts in full, that Bournemouth itself has debts that need to be settled, the League is holding the money. The league stopped Thompson's loan being renewed due to some unstated financial reason.
-
Quite likely, but we would then have the football club in administration as well. Better this way.

Nothing to do with the bank, I think more to do with whether operations could continue, and that is down to the directors. We know that times are desperate, they have been quite open about it. The staff also are wondering whether they will be paid this month. If the players weren't paid there are all sorts of problems. This does make a lot of sense in the circumstances.

You are correct, but Steve has been an immense help, and it is entirely sensible that he is protective and sensitive to the interests of saintsweb. In any event, if the need arises there will be a panic from the media, the city, and the fans to try and save the saints. The account details would be published here, in the media and people would pay direct into the bank account. -

The saints trust has at this time been ruled out. The intention is to set up whatever is required on a tailored basis should the need arise. We have no wish to take on board a warts and all situation with historical baggage. There are numerous people in the background from these and other professions who have inundated us with offers of advice and assistance when and if the need arises. -
Then that also means nothing until the effluent hits the oscillator and the pledges are called in. Giving an email is in the end just as irrelevant, as nobody will be chasing up addresses, there would be a general appeal for those that pledged and anybody else willing, to put money into an account or pay in cheques. Either way as I've said before the pledges are a guide to the level of interest and possible support. If the pledged amount is nowhere near the required amount the whole initiative will sadly end there.

That'll do, sums it up nicely, but much more eloquently,
-
It doesn't matter but it would be helpful to keep the entities separate.
-
Along the lines of a desperately close run thing.
-
Maybe the Stadium? That link to Highcross property fund managers.
-
Possibly somebody getting prepared, hopefully.
-
The football club company is not in administration. I think Wellington summed it up with what he said after Waterloo.

Can you pm me what you know.

I did hear that we were desperately close on Friday. If that gets the bank off our backs through the fee being guaranteed on a certain date then that is a result in itself.
