  1. Could Crouch have had talks with Barclays about alternatives to administration.
  2. Has anything changed you know of, since Fri?
  3. Hi Bill, Ron, I've read your postings, allegedly Fulthorpe was at SMS this morning. I'm not sure what's going on. Duncan thinks things are happening next week, what, he wouldn't say. Crouch there yesterday, could be a red herring, there was a closed doors match. Likely that someone was in today, due to the Svennson announcement. As for Crouch, as of yesterday lunchtime he was still status quo, As for selling, we have over 4000 shareholders, 40ish with about 81%, 4000ish with 19%. It would need a lucrative offer to get the ball rolling. Pie in the sky, maybe Lowe and co want out and are looking for a buyer for their 36%ish.
  4. What % of the club do you own, are you one of the 4000?
  5. Without The Lowe axis wanting to sell, despite a minority stake the club is impossible to buy. Because, about 40 shareholders, the majority unnamed, own 81% approx, the remaining 19% is owned by nearly 4000 shareholders. I believe, having observed the viciousness of the fighting and protests at the Doncaster game that this is just the start. I think the games are going to be a nightmare from now on. This demonstration is I think just the start, the small shareholders are stirring, and nearly everybody involved in football in Southampton wants Lowe to go. If I was Lowe, I'd be asking myself do I need to live like this.
  6. Remind me again why Portvliet said he resigned!!
  7. Wotte has got a Pro Licence, that doesn't mean he's any good. The fact Svennson maybe hasn't could be a plus, we might get some common sense. The club has had a preponderence of qualified coaches and none of the prats could see we had no width in attack, no shape in the team, why the defence was porous, the players never tried hard to get goalside, what was a players natural side, and no threat from set pieces. The common denominator, no common sense, football is a simple game.
  8. If Lowe has anything to do with Crouch now it's the height of expediency, trying to take himself out of the firing line and Crouch out of a shareholders alliance if one flares up. Talking of sayings, one comes to mind. "White man speak with forked tongue"
  9. I doubt it also. I wonder was there an exchange of views. Up to now all the interviews/announcements on football have come from Lowe. Hardly needs a press conference Monday, what's to announce?
  10. Rumours of Crouch at SMS fri, JP resigns, Wilde makes statement. Unlikely I know.
  11. George O'Brien or Derek Reeves
  12. Duncan, you have a pm.
  13. Wotte is permanent temporarily. If he starts winning he will take the heat out of it. If he continues the poor results he's on borrowed time.
  14. I think your letter published in the Echo tonight could have concentrated his mind.
  15. Out of the frying pan into the fire. This has to stop now. It needs a first class manager not a DoF.
  16. Jan Portvliet has resigned, Mark Wotte is head coach. www.saintsfc.co.uk
  17. I'm not a shareholder, I saw it in last nights Echo and put it on here to try and publicise it.
  18. I'm not sure about the administration bit Bill, I think if we go down, we may go down again. Administration would be an awful situation, but it would cause Lowe a big problem. Wilde won't work with Crouch and would need him to take over again. I couldn't see Lowe letting that happen.
  19. This could certainly put the pressure on in any event, together with the planned demonstrations and negative publicity, especially being now publically reviled. Did you or your wife know Brian Howards girlfriend, longhaul cabin staff at BA.
  20. 1 and 3 together with the atmosphere and demonstrations could be assumed as far as the board and banks are concerned as the effluent hitting the oscillator. I fear relegation more than administration as cloth and measure will be the name of the game.
  21. I think the pot is beginning to boil, a demonstration. shares initiatives (de vere, website), calls for a boycott, it would need the non season ticket holders to not go.
  22. I think in total there are over 4000 shareholders accounting for 80% Many anonymous.
  23. In other words, an unholy mess, that allows a
  24. The figures and the detail available led me to the same conclusion. Prior to being given the detail, I was working from memory and just the knowledge of the major shareholders. I didn't realise until now the complexity of the shareholdings. It looks pretty impossible to takeover unless a really good offer is made.
