  1. That it is why he is unlikely to make changes. I think we are now in a spiral from a results point of view. I wouldn't be surprised if going down has already been factored in as a consequence and they will ride out criticism.

  3. I think maybe the time has come to really make it impossible for Wilde and Lowe to appear at St Mary's. The team selections and tactics are bizarre. We just aren't going to wiin enough games. Any demonstrations would have little material effect on the team or results as they are losing anyway. Until a more balanced team and effective tactics are used we haven't a prayer.

  5. McGoldrick hasn't scored in 10 games, BWP has our only three goals in the last 7 games and is left out again. In 1959/60 we won the league, hardly made a change, travelled by train or coach, played on mudheap, no grass pitches. The players had no problem. Our team, play on lawns, are pampered, allegedly far fitter then old time players, play with a light ball they can't kick, injured regularly, play fewer games each, they are taking the pi**.

  7. David Armstrong slaughtered the team, tactics and management. Then Will Cope asks the most bland and irrelevant questions and gets the usual we did well, the ref got it wrong, etc etc. FFS ask relevant questions, we don't want to hear any more of this crap.
  8. David Armstrong was very critical of today's performance. "The players have to take a long hard look at themselves, square pegs in round holes, wingers in who never go outside for the byeline, always cutting in or crossing from 25 yds out, easy for the defence, beaten by a poor team. It has to be recognised that the players can't play and don't believe in the system, Jan has to stop this utopian system". TiaJuana Tim on saying the same thing. This team is no longer playing the pass and move football from the start of the season. Looking at the players omitted today, has there been a bust up? McGoldrick now ten games without scoring is a shoe in. BWP with 3 goals in recent games omitted. Portvleit is IMO a prat.
  9. Nearly. Gillett Gobern midfield Surman behind McGoldrick.
  10. James Cork Lancashire Skacel. Gobern Gillett. Smith Surman McGoldrick Holmes.
  11. No, a serious cooperative of shareholders only, with only one purpose. To bring together a minority of shares into an influential position. If possible a majority. The Saints Trust is tainted by it's association with certain members, the fan boardroom member proposal and gross inactivity.
  12. Form a cooperative society to manage a collective of shares proxied to it by concerned shareholders. As far as I can make out there is at least 55% not controlled by Lowe and Wilde. It would need Crouch and Mary Corbett to join in and be involved. I am not a shareholder and don't wish to be one, but if I was, it would be what I would try to do.
  13. Happy Christmas everyone. Reference international caps, Beckham or anyone else who gets caps for cameo part appearances should never be allowed to beat the 108 cap record of the late, great, Bobby Moore, every one I believe was a full game. Especially after Sven, who gave away at least 22 caps at each friendly.
  14. Now you can see what I have been banging on about, especially the right side which is our real achilles heel.
  15. Or just a loopy prat.
  16. Not going to the police!! Bearing in mind 95% of the witnesses hated him, that's no surprise. Prat!
  17. So we play at Burnley, lose badly, 7 days later we play probably the most important match of the season, win and we are 7 points clear. Then during that week players are in Dublin for a number of days on a Christmas bash. Surprise, surprise we turn in just about the most inept and indolent performance of the season, now we are 1 point clear and unless we do something spectacular in the next two games, or in the unlikely event, the cow's arse gets a peppering, we are certainly going to be in the bottom three, and possibly bottom with the fourth from bottom out of sight. That is the sort of unprofessional preparation that deserves the sack.
  18. I don't dislike him one little bit. I just don't like the way our right side is messing up the team.
  19. Write the Americans off at your peril. Their expertise at fitness, athletics and their magnificent college sport system. is unsurpassed. Some colleges have grounds and regular crowds of over 100,000. If soccer ever gets a real following they will rule the world. It would be a sensible place to start recruiting, we should also do more in Ireland and Scotland.
  20. I am probably the main instigator of this, because I'm sick and tired of watching the team struggle. It is the lack of a right side that makes us narrow and cumbersome in attack and vulnerable to counter attack. We are losing match after match and seem incapaple of scoring at home. If Lallana goes, I don't think he will, I will be sad because he could do so much better for the team and himself. The way he is playing is stopping him from achieving so much more for us. There is no end product at the moment.
  21. And there we have it. Chasing around like a madman. He doesn't have a free role, he is picked wide right and refuses to play there. Euell had a row with him on Sat, that was why Euell ended up inappropriately wide right in the first half. He was recently taken to one side by one of the senior coaches and told that he was wasting his ability and doing the team no good by chasing around all over the place. He was told to be more aware of dangerous positions, penetrative runs and the use of space. He hasn't taken a blind bit of notice. This idea of players having a free role is nonsense. The team are playing a very one dimensional, rigid formation, badly. In no small part down to the inability of Lallana to play in his defined role. It is the right side that is killing us and the system. McGoldrick and Lallana are not producing anything but cameos in areas that don't hurt the opposition. Letting young players know they are fireproof, whatever the manager thinks is not helping.
  22. Dyer started and played well, also scored. We don't interchange that is just bull****. The system is pretty inflexible one up front one floater behind, two CM, two wide men and four at the back. The only interchange is the odd time a CM goes wide. If we did interchange as a matter of course. there would be no problem as there would always be two wide on each side. It's the fact there is only one player, no interchange, and acres of space depending on the phase either in front of or worse for us behind the right back leaving our CBs stretched and vulnerable.
  23. I would like to see specialist backs but this is what we have so I'm working with that. As for the madness, that is what it is.
