Awful on his first start. He was composed and looked a good player today, he played well with Gillett and we were a lot more solid, especially when BWP came on. Reading scored from a free kick into the six yd box, which was scrambled in, because we defended too deep. The next from a similar position on the other side, was defended from the edge of the penalty area and Davis claimed it.

Saganowski back this week, play him in front of McGoldrick, BWP wide right and Holmes wide left, McLaggon/Dyer to come on last half hour.
-
We have to have some crosses first. Balls in from 25 yds out don't stretch the defence, easy meat for big defenders and the goalkeeper. Our free kicks show a total lack of thought, all shots either left or right foot into the wall or over the bar. It's about time we started some slick decoy runs and wall passing the wall.

Ligaments, not really expected to play this season.

Cork did play well, very good on the ground but doesn't win a lot in the air. McGoldrick scored after McLaggon outran the defence and gave him a one on one with the keeper, he was pretty poor in the first half despite hitting the bar with a cracking shot, but the target is 24ftx8ft from 18 yds. He was strolling as usual, when we needed to break, Gillett went past him like he was stood still, Smith had the ball but he still didn't bother to get into the box. If he has the ball he goes for it, but his off the ball running is poor. His passing was poor and he seems more interested in making space for his own shot than putting in a colleague. Still, he scored, maybe he will now get a run going, still he has to do a whole lot better.

We didn't miss them, a bit more width today, Gillett and Gobern did well in the middle, McLaggon did well for our goal, very quick, but could have played a bit wider. Much better shape all round, the equaliser came from a free kick into the six yd box, We defended too deep then but the next time held a high line and Davis was able to win it. We need to defend those sort of free kicks on the edge of the penalty area. Paterson worked hard and looks a better bet than Robertson. BWP was much better than Smith.

FFS there is an easy solution. We are narrow and have no width. Make the wide players play on the touchline, if they come inside sombody goes wide. Go for the byeline, get bodies into the box in the mean time. We are undisciplined, when a move breaks down, the players have to bust a gut to try and get goalside, that means sprinting not strolling. Attack the ball wherever it is, instead of standing off and passing responsibility. Football is a childishly simple game, the top teams keep it simple and follow simple guidelines, if the players don't they are out. Jan Portvleit is sending out all the wrong signals, unless he gets his act together we are going down.

No Width, No Movement, No penetration, No defence. I'm going, FFS prove me wrong.

So now Lowe says we couldn't afford Pearson!!!!!!!!

Inside sources say definitely £160,000. -
I thought he had been given a highly paid top post in getting competitors ready for the 2012 Olympics.
-
Only 95% of those that voted. It looks like Crouch etc didn't vote.
-
Why don't they get together and make an offer for the shares? Lowe and Wilde etc speak for less than 50%. If everybody else sold to them they could take over the club.
-
Small print says refunds are at the club's discretion.
-
I've got loads of money and no shares. I really don't give a rats arse, I think it's a shame the disenfranchised shareholders don't have the wit to start something to give them a say..
-
To work, it would need to be totally divorced from any previous organisation and be purely for shareholders collectively, to manage their holdings by referendum.
-
If a ticket is surrendered, the club are obliged to pay the balance of games outstanding at the average price per game. This is in fact what they do. I would take them to the small claims court if they refused.
-
This business of games close together is rubbish, at one time games were played on consecutive days and sometimes as many as 3 in 5 days. With a heavy ball and on mudheap pitches. If they were winning they wouldn't be tired. The team is set up all wrong, the published system is not being played anyway, the players are playing off the cuff and the management haven't got a clue.
-
If every season ticket holder that is not happy with the board took his/her ticket back and demanded a refund it would finish Lowe.
-
Start a shareholders co-operative to manage small or even larger holdings.
-
As we both know Ron, a major part of the problem is a misuse of resources on the pitch. I have come to the conclusion that the coaching staff haven't a bloody clue. This playing staff could perform 100% better if the manager and coaches had any idea what makes a team efficient. Backwards and forwards in the middle of the field doesn't cut it.
-
Not the quickest but very clever, once saw him lift the ball over the full back, run outside the pitch, and back on, carry on with the ball. That was in the days when wide players knew how to play wide! and only needed one touch to control the ball. It has to be John Sydenham, the quickest player by a long way ever to play for Saints.

Would you BOYCOTT? Ways to get rid of Lowe and the board

Obviously you can't read, my criticisms are the same as Armstrong's, Wingers coming inside, launching crosses on the 45, never getting behind the defence. The slowest player on the field picked in the hole, McGoldrick still picked. The team needs to change it's tactics The fact Lallana is missing is irrelevant, Perry and BWP missing is bizarre. This certainly isn't the team I would have picked. I would have played last weeks back four, Cork and Surman in the middle, BWP wide right with Holmes wide left and give Euell and Paterson a go up front. If arguably the best player in the world feels he can play most of the game right on the touchline and be lethal doing it, surely our fourth raters could at least do the same.
