I didn't say that, an incentive to buy SW tickets would be good for the attendance. If you don't want to buy a ticket, don't, then if all the MU tickets go to ST holders/Sheff Wed ticket holders there can hardly be room for complaint. Two big crowds are better than one with the revenue shared. I can see it/vouchers/ticket record at SMS happening.

A possibility, Cork probably OK, I'd be surprised if Reading allowed Pearce to be tied, I'm sure he would be on instant recall if needed by them. Robertson and Pekart haven't really impressed, it depends how the club view their value. It depends again whether we are hell bent on shifting John, Saganowski, Euell, Skacel plus Raziak (season) By then we hopefully will have Holmes fit and Dyer back.

Lallana and McGoldrick need some coaching in shooting. They both tend to scuff their shots and if they hit it, it balloons high. They both need to learn to lift the ball over an advancing goalkeeper. I have lost count of the goals missed one on one, saved by hitting the goalkeeper, especially McGoldrick. BWP McGoldrick Lallana ------Gasmi (worth a try) I have only included currently fit and available players.

Will the loans want to stay? Will we want to keep them? Will they be allowed to play and be cup tied if they stay?

Will ST holders be able to by extra tickets for Man Utd?
derry replied to derry's topic in The Saints
The bottom line for the club is income. The away games bring little or no revenue. That isn't devalueing the away supporters. However there have been plenty of statements on here, about only going to away matches and not going to home matches, refusing to put money in Lowe and Wilde's pockets. With the club's financial problems, if all the tickets were sold for the Sheff Wed game it would be a very big deal. More than double the club's share of the receipts for the MU game. -
If any players are likely to be sold in the transfer window, will they be allowed to play in the FA Cup. They would hardly allow players to be cup tied, as it may devalue or make the player less saleable.

If I was Rupert, I would announce on Monday, all those with tickets for Sheff Wed will be given preference after STs. -

Bloody hell Ron, that's a dozen I'm going to need! -
If they are, that won't leave many seats at all.

On past record, Utd give the FA Cup little priority and play their reserve and fringe players. Could we give them a game?

Watson was better before he joined us. Jimmy Gabriel was a brilliant player but lacked a little height. I've seen all the CBs mentioned here, but there are two standouts, Svennson to attack the ball and big Mark Wright to sweep up. I think they might even have been pretty close to being the best pair in the top division, let alone the club.

Why don't we all just wait and see, we have nearly 6 months of the season and at least 28 matches still to play.
-
We don't attack the ball. Pearce does. It needs timing and determination to get in front of, or across defenders and win the ball. We are a bunch of pussies in the box, that's the problem.

Interestingly for me, one of Kelvin Davis's greatest weaknesses and our achilles heel, was an inability to come off the line and catch or punch crosses coming into our six yd box. Webster goes, all of a sudden Kelvin is catching or punching most of the crosses in his goal area and making a good job of it. This is a major policy change and looks like somebody has made a decision that crosses have to be caught. Davis looks a much better goalkeeper because of it. It may be that staying on the line was a coaching decision. It was the one thing along with the distribution that was lacking for the last two seasons. Webster goes, the ball is being passed and not just hit long and the keeper is coming for the crosses, sounds like he was overruled by someone.

It's 3 years under 21 at the club in question, only the academy players would qualify. Last night, Surman, Lallana, James, Paterson, McGoldrick.

AC Milan at Pompey Thurs?
-
I like him too, but he needs to play for the team. It begs the question, why didn't JVP tell him. The same thing with McGoldrick a few weeks back.

Adam Lallana needs a kick up the backside for his undisciplined performance. He was picked wide right and spent 93 minutes playing everywhere but. If we want to penetrate defences the two wide men have to be out on the line to immediately attack down either side. BWP did it, Lallana didn't. Consequently two things happened, the defence was allowed to compact which closed us down easily, secondly as Lallana wasn't wide he was never in the classic wide man attacking position just off the far post. BWP hit in some deep crosses and Skacel put in two peaches in the first half both dropping past the far post, because Lallana wasn't wide, coming in, we had nobody there. I don't care who is picked wide, but whoever is picked there, has to discipline themselves for the team. Wandering all over the place, ruins the shape of the team and advantages the defenders, allowing time for in depth defence.

Woodward - Rupey's next 'Cost Effective' Addition?
derry replied to Channon's Sideburns's topic in The Saints
SCW with the biggest backroom staff ever, including spin doctors, managed a pretty poor, unsuccessful, Lions tour. -
The count is about 3 boycotts on here. Whilst everyone is entitled to an opinion and do whatever they like, it appears to me, there are fewer than 20, who come on here and support a boycott. I happen to think, the dire football last year, together with near relegation, has made up a lot of people's minds not to go, that and the cost. And before anybody starts on, I detest the arrogant, interfering, know it all.

Boy that really worked last year on 81% of the turnover. -

Fill the bloody stadium. £6m extra a season and we get to keep our players. So who's ruining the club now? I despise the arrogant prat just to clarify things. I've supported this club for 54 years and wouldn't dream of not going, especially as it needs all the supporters it can get. If you are a supporter you need to support, stop the false illusion of giving money to Lowe, we are trying to keep our club afloat, buy time and get rid of these prats without too much damage.
