No, a serious cooperative of shareholders only, with only one purpose. To bring together a minority of shares into an influential position. If possible a majority. The Saints Trust is tainted by it's association with certain members, the fan boardroom member proposal and gross inactivity.
-
Form a cooperative society to manage a collective of shares proxied to it by concerned shareholders. As far as I can make out there is at least 55% not controlled by Lowe and Wilde. It would need Crouch and Mary Corbett to join in and be involved. I am not a shareholder and don't wish to be one, but if I was, it would be what I would try to do.

Happy Christmas everyone. Reference international caps, Beckham or anyone else who gets caps for cameo part appearances should never be allowed to beat the 108 cap record of the late, great, Bobby Moore, every one I believe was a full game. Especially after Sven, who gave away at least 22 caps at each friendly.

Now you can see what I have been banging on about, especially the right side which is our real achilles heel.
-
Or just a loopy prat.

Not going to the police!! Bearing in mind 95% of the witnesses hated him, that's no surprise. Prat!

So we play at Burnley, lose badly, 7 days later we play probably the most important match of the season, win and we are 7 points clear. Then during that week players are in Dublin for a number of days on a Christmas bash. Surprise, surprise we turn in just about the most inept and indolent performance of the season, now we are 1 point clear and unless we do something spectacular in the next two games, or in the unlikely event, the cow's arse gets a peppering, we are certainly going to be in the bottom three, and possibly bottom with the fourth from bottom out of sight. That is the sort of unprofessional preparation that deserves the sack.

I don't dislike him one little bit. I just don't like the way our right side is messing up the team.

Write the Americans off at your peril. Their expertise at fitness, athletics and their magnificent college sport system. is unsurpassed. Some colleges have grounds and regular crowds of over 100,000. If soccer ever gets a real following they will rule the world. It would be a sensible place to start recruiting, we should also do more in Ireland and Scotland.

Quite!!!!

I am probably the main instigator of this, because I'm sick and tired of watching the team struggle. It is the lack of a right side that makes us narrow and cumbersome in attack and vulnerable to counter attack. We are losing match after match and seem incapaple of scoring at home. If Lallana goes, I don't think he will, I will be sad because he could do so much better for the team and himself. The way he is playing is stopping him from achieving so much more for us. There is no end product at the moment.

And there we have it. Chasing around like a madman. He doesn't have a free role, he is picked wide right and refuses to play there. Euell had a row with him on Sat, that was why Euell ended up inappropriately wide right in the first half. He was recently taken to one side by one of the senior coaches and told that he was wasting his ability and doing the team no good by chasing around all over the place. He was told to be more aware of dangerous positions, penetrative runs and the use of space. He hasn't taken a blind bit of notice. This idea of players having a free role is nonsense. The team are playing a very one dimensional, rigid formation, badly. In no small part down to the inability of Lallana to play in his defined role. It is the right side that is killing us and the system. McGoldrick and Lallana are not producing anything but cameos in areas that don't hurt the opposition. Letting young players know they are fireproof, whatever the manager thinks is not helping.

Dyer started and played well, also scored. We don't interchange that is just bull****. The system is pretty inflexible one up front one floater behind, two CM, two wide men and four at the back. The only interchange is the odd time a CM goes wide. If we did interchange as a matter of course. there would be no problem as there would always be two wide on each side. It's the fact there is only one player, no interchange, and acres of space depending on the phase either in front of or worse for us behind the right back leaving our CBs stretched and vulnerable.
-
I would like to see specialist backs but this is what we have so I'm working with that. As for the madness, that is what it is.
-
I know he doesn't like playing there. He has said so. Dyer would have to curb that tendency as well. In any event the system we play requires two wingers. Despite what you say he is not playing wide right and when he leaves the wing nobody else goes out there. There is no interchange just a big empty space. James is left most of the game to play the whole right side on his own. I would like him to play well as a wide midfield, if he doesn't get his act together then we are going to be relegated. This team would be much more effective if he played where he is supposed to.
-
If he played within the parameters of the position, I would play him there. That would mean wide on the touchline as a starting position. When the play is on the other side, coming inside with a final attacking position outside the far post. Tracking back and helping the right back in defence, then wide on the touchline to be available to counter attack quickly. Certainly not the way he is playing at the moment. I think playing him in the hole is a poor option at present, as he can't seem to hit the ball cleanly. I don't think he has shown enough to be an out and out striker, then neither has anyone else. If he wasn't prepared to play for the team, I would drop him. I know for a fact he doesn't like playing wide or deep. Playing as he does at the moment is exposing us and neutering our right side attacking options. He has to play within the team plan which is well publicised with two wide men. Portvleit has said he is looking forward to getting his team playing with two wingers when Smith and Holmes are fit. Where will that leave Lallana? He is probably the best ball player we have and playing properly wide, could be a real danger.

Doyle, the two Hunts, Shane Long all at Reading for next to nothing from the Eircom. There are plenty out there but we don't go there. Academy Blindness/head in the sand.
-
That's my problem too.
-
Funny you should say that, I have felt that all along. I would think the view from the Directors box would give a much more detailed perspective. I can't see the value of just standing on the touchline.
-
Not rigid, if he plays there most of the time but is spelled by a colleague when moving inside, that is not sacrificing the width and keeps the opponents defence spread. His inability to strike the ball cleanly is a worry, as is McGoldrick. We are in fact rigid at the moment, LB/LM wide left, RB only wide right. Totally lopsided. I actually think Lallana also gets in the way of the CM, breaking up their pairing. We have little effective shape, are extremely narrow and open to counter attack.
-
I'm not saying that he hasn't talent. What I am saying, and I know what he is saying about where he is asked to play, he doesn't like playing wide. What I am saying, is the fact he is prepared to be picked there, then go out and run around chasing the ball like a playground footballer, in areas where he is totally negated, neglecting almost completely his defined role. That self indulgent behaviour wouldn't be entertained at a better club. In any event he knows that he won't get first team regular football at a Premier club, because of that feels he needs at least a full season as a regular before contemplating a move. He is not effective as a second striker, he isn't getting into dangerous positions and fundamentally he and McGoldrick are not scoring. He is being accommodated nominally wide right and refuses to play there. That is what I am banging on about and believe me it is one of the main reasons we are not able to compete.
-
Pretty close to the truth, but I just wish he would sort out the obvious problems. Saying we need more effort etc just papers over the real problems. Case and Armstrong have been emphasising the problems of lack of width and massed defences. Brian O'Neill the last time I talked to him felt BWP might do a better job wide right, strengthen the right side and get to the byeline. Probably be quite dangerous on the far post.

Spot on.
