  1. That's an odd way of putting it Whitey. I don't advocate referrals but sometimes refs make mistakes. It's a difficult job but they get things wrong and we should acknowledge that.
  2. So you think neither were penalties and there was no foul on Clasie for their goal? Well your obviously entitled to your opinion but I find that ****ng incredible. By the way, I pointed out that we didn't create enough today. I've posted this view a number of times of the past two seasons. I'm well aware of the failings. Today it was the referee.
  3. We didn't create enough and I think at times we got out-muscled, a reflection of Leicester's greater desire to win the game, but the fact is we lost the game because of the ref. Repeat, we lost because of the ref. Penalty and sending off first half. Foul on Clasie for their's. Penalty second half. I've seen this ref before. He's weak. I'm pleased Leicester will win the title because it's not one of the usual money clubs but I'm underwhelmed by them. They are winning it by default.
  4. To the extent that there's a grain of truth in the article (probably Tadic sounding off as he did about being excluded from the national team), I'm encouraged. Demanding manager, almost fully fit squad, possibility of European football next season, some players not happy about being more involved. All positive isn't it? Contrast with Villa where players don't want to play and nobody gives a stuff.

    Van Dijk

In what respects is Van Dyke too limited to play as a central defender?
  6. Agreed. Up to Rooney now to rise to the challenge, which he will. All positive.
  7. For once England, that was impressive. Tottenham players were all good with Alli excellent. Good stuff.
  8. Why waste time when you are 3-1 down.
  9. Subs changed the game. Ours and theirs. It's such a pity momentum may be diminished by the international break. On the other hand, more time to get Austin and JRod fit. Wanyama was flawless.
  10. Targett not being in the team is coincidence as you say not the cause of a drop in form as you mean to say. Which quicker attacking options should Koeman have used yesterday?
  11. Penalty looked harsh from where I was. More red cards than any other PL team so far. Anyone would think we're a dirty team. Sunderland were cr@p and we weren't much better. So glad those who abandoned the stadium after we conceded missed our equaliser.
  12. This is one where an early goal either way will be vital.
  13. I haven't counted the number times he's been called a **** on here but from a cursory review, I think we can safely say Saintsweb is unanimous. Costa' a ****. He's at the right club though. Don't you just hate those ****s.
  14. http://www.theguardian.com/football/picture/2016/feb/09/david-squires-premier-league-secret-society C'mon Leicester.
  15. Another of Ralph's motivational speeches hangs over them like the Sword of Damocles. What more motivation do they need.
  16. The coaching team and the players have made it work. I rate Bertrand and his role on the left of the three has been a big positive. Targett has done a job further forward. We've used 4 at the back against Arsenal only, as far as I can recall and a combination of FF and luck kept us in it. That's not to say 4 at the back won't be appropriate against other sides. The uncertainty for the opposition of our being able to play different systems is also a factor as the opposition doesn't know what to expect. My only reservation is that our creative players are increasingly on the bench but as long as we get the results...
  17. FF's been great but 3-5-2 has turned our season around.
  18. Very good.
  19. I recognise that pitch. It's Munich at the 2006 World Cup. It wasn't just me that was pi**ed then.
  20. Never tire of seeing that one. That's how you dealt with the biggest thug in football.
  21. I liked the huddle of around half a dozen Saints players at the end when they came over to the Kingsland/Northam corner. Signals unity and commitment among at least a core of the players. For first time in a while at a home fixture I felt the fans were 100% with the team and gave great support. Augurs well for a move up the table.
  22. Stats suggest a low scoring game, possibly a draw. Sadly only one winner today. The weather.
