Agree. Trust is critical. Team spirit, so difficult to build can be undermined so easily when these sensitive issues are mishandled.

Posted this on the Kreugar thread. Possibly more relevant here: Why in earth wasn't this man appointed? Grew up a Saints fan. Vastly experienced in football. Widely respected. Perhaps, then, some of the communications problems would have been avoided. http://www.lancashiretelegraph.co.uk...et_for_Saints/

F**k Liverpool, f**k the PL, f**k Roy Hodgson. And while I'm at it, Ukip can f**ck off as well. Sorry Lads. Feel better now.

Will Saints ever be a "bigger fish in the sea"?
Graffito replied to Fitzhugh Fella's topic in The Saints
I agree though we all know that the FA will do nothing about it, especially pre World Cup. Presumably Hodgeson will be equally delighted when our other England players join top 6 sides. He may be less pleased when they don't play so regularly or are less available. -
Don't know if this has been posted previously but the Observer reports today that Liverpool only became aware of Lambert's availability when they enquired about Lallana and Lovren. He may well have been tapped up by Gerrard but this suggests we flogged him.

But we have a plan. Ralph said so: "The plan is a permanently evolving entity. We have a plan, we are very well structured and organised and have extremely good people heading up that plan. As we evolve we are continually strengthening and working on that plan." What's more we have a vision: "The vision has been very clear right through to the last person, and that is to take this club into European football. It is driving everything we do." That's why we are selling our best players.

http://www.theguardian.com/football/2006/dec/15/newsstory.liverpool Reed made him feel like sh1t apparently because he didn't realise how lonely he was.

In addition to which, Lallana has an England place to play for.

It's not all about Lallana, it's about what is best for Southampton Football Club.

This makes a case for Moyes. As the article says, wind back the clock 12 months and what would Saints fans think if Moyes were available. Does he have sufficient status to convince some of teh senior players to stay? I think probably yes. Man Utd did happen of course so that can't be erased but the main question mark would be whether his style could fit with Saints'. This would be my main concern, that our style would change. But let's be realistic. We're a mid table, middle of the road premiership club with an inexperienced board and the potential for better players to up sticks. Stability is required. Moyes would provide it. http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/football/teams/southampton/10860028/David-Moyes-should-really-be-the-only-candidate-to-replace-Mauricio-Pochettino-as-Southampton-manager.html

Yes this is quite funny. They're going to end up being Arsenal Light.
-
The manager will be 100% focused on the World Cup.

Somewhat negative and pessimistic but makes some good points. http://www.basingstokegazette.co.uk/sport/11239113._/?

You have to question why he brought him into the squad at such a late stage, having ignored him up to then, and more so now, having brought him in and not given him any game time. What was the point of that?

Like this from MLT: “We can look back now and see he was stalling and keeping his options open, but that’s his prerogative. “He clearly had a game plan that he had set out, worked it to the best of his ability, and got a new job and a pay rise to boot, so good luck to him – as long as he doesn’t start whinging in a year’s time if he’s finished outside the top four and been sacked.”

It's good for a few thrupenny bits.

Levy's dithering. Good at sacking them but can't pick them.

You'll find one or two reasons here. http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/26847888

Are Spurs dithering?

On bbc radio 5 just now. Dodd and Williams didn't get on with hunter. Les Read backed Hunter. Therefore suggestion that they were sacked for relationship reasons.
