  1. As posted briefly yesterday, spoke with an accountant of MM yesterday, although he had no access to books at Fratt@n he still had contacts there and kept an interest. He said that when MM was there he kept a tight knowledge on the pennies. After he sold there was no control over the finances. No person in overall charge of the overall finances, and some of the practices were 'questionable' and in his opinion fraudulent. He believes that PCFC have been been trading whilst insolvent for many months, possiblly a year or so. He also stated that MM was asked a few weeks ago for 30 million pounds to keep them going ... he declined because of FA rules etc. But also because there was no colatoral and it would be just 'throwing the money down a black hole'.
  2. As an aside... spoke with an accountant of Mandric this morning... Apparantly he was asked for $30 million by PFC a few weeks ago to keep club alive ... Mandric declined for several reasons including the basis that he would just be throwing the money down a bottomless pit.
  3. Just phoned their ticket office... Told they have sold over 1400 away tickets.... said "a huge amount, over 1400" How many away tickets do they normaly sell?
  4. Thanks to yourself and Griffo ... Will phone tomorrow, but looks promising, see you lot there (hopefully)..
  5. My better half and I are both finishing work early tomorrow and so have at this late stage decided to go... Can anyone confirm tickets will be available on the gate tomorrow night.
  6. As I understand it Gaydamak snr. owns land round F/P and Chandrai F/P. So G.snr land is reduced in value because it is next to a football ground, and it has a square of undevelopable land in the middle of it. If as has been widely reported Chandrai owns F/P and if as has been widely speculated Chandrai is working with/for G.snr then this makes value of the main land much increased in value, even if a private sports club, squash tennis gym etc. have to be built where the ground is now. Lots of IF's and purely my devious mind. But maybe.
  7. Well IF i was Gaydamak (snr) and i was the real owner of PFC. And IF Chandrai was really my stooge and had acquired Notarf Krap. I now own about 12 acres of potential building land in Skatesmouth. The taxman then takes PCFC down. Chandrai conveiently then doen't have to lease F/P to a then non-existing club. I (Gaydamak snr) can then sell off this building land and realise some/alot/all of my debts. Simples.
  8. Re:- Admin. I seem to recall an interview with Mark Fry not very long ago about the Poopey situation. He basically said that the administrator when he takes the a failing company on becomes responsible for that company. He then went on to say (in more diplomatic ways than I can put it) that Poopey were so deep in the sh!te that no admiistrator would go anywhere near them. They couldn't go into administration because no one would act as administrator. Could any of you financial/legal bods out there confirm this is what I think he meant.
  9. At least Gold was honest enough to say why he would lend them the money.... He did say however that the premier league would have to act as gaurantor... To quote a line from a film "were like the Catholic Church, we collect money we dont give it away" which as well as being against EPL rules is another reason it wont happen.
  10. With some of these moaning posters 19C etc. I get this horrible vision of no life 40 something virgins sat in their vests at the computor all day. Empty cans of beer and pizza boxes littered round the place. I think I'm going to be sick
  11. As you know spend time on friends boat. Birmingham's Gas St. basin great place to tie up. Surrounded by pubs and places to eat, and in city centre. Mind you, did pick up tyre round prop. which took nearly all day to cut off. Then found large extending aluminium ladder in canal when dragging remains of trye off. Strange what Brummies throw in canal.
  12. No ...I'm married.
  13. Not on a 70ft narrowboat I wont.
  14. As an aside...talking about trains... Did you know that the railway tunnel that goes under the civic centre cuts across the tunnel for the Southampton to Salisbury canal. This canal was closed in 1808. Do you think it is too late to reopen it, as I live about 200 yds from the Salisbury end of this canal, and it would make a more scenic/leisurely way of getting to matches.
  15. just checked Carlisle site, they can have 9 tickets each and have the East end only!
  16. I'm block 41 right near to walk way. I'll be very near them, be able to smell the fish...
  17. If they spend all the profits on policing., Poopey wont get anything as their share ... That would be a shame.
  18. As useless as a choclate tea pot all they need to do is wander round the stadium or over the footbridge to go round it.
  19. At St. Marys this afternoon and the police are erecting a large metal fence to divide fans.. Spoke with cops who wer doing it and they were quite friendly. The cordon consists of 2 rows of metal walls about 25 feet apart. In the gap the police can freely pass. In the walls there are 2 or 3 doors/gates fRom which the 'snatch squads' can operate. The walls stretch from gas compund fencing to the walls of St. Marys between gates H and J. I asked who they got it from. They said it was theirs and was for used chem. hazard, nuclear incidents and public order situations. Totally over the top if you ask me.
  20. hope its not too cold or we will be Fresian.
  21. I bet if some saints fans do get in there the MK lot will milk it for all its worth. or, pull the udder one or, what a load of bull or, perhaps they'll just hoof them out or
  22. Was that herd or heard. Sorry..
  23. Alot of them have only been here half a season, a couple of seasons at best.... We have supported them for years, we know what has happened in the past...
  24. What is it about football... I'm nearly 50 years old and have been supporting Saints for over 40 years, and I still feel nervous about tonight... Flaming football why couldn't I have got passionate about something else like basket weaving. :-)
  25. Doubt very much if there will be much trouble... British disease, 'Fear of crime is much greater than the actual incidence of crime' If you dont go to 'wrong' pubs etc. you are very unlikely to experience any trouble. Just a few stupid kids trying to act big who will run at the first sign of anyone remotely threatening.
