  1. If HMRC do as theysaidand end by 1530hrs, surely they must come to the nitty gritty soon, or is that it? Or does the relevant documentation previously submitted be admissible for decision purposes. Or was that if they didn't go to lunch?
  2. I'm another one of the thick ones on here. But is HMRC saying that bsides the image rights there is also this Trust thingey. Allowing for both (or either) it will put HMRC over the 25% ?
  3. Sorry I' m not any good at links, but post 19 is linked to an Echo article dated 15 July 2010. This is only 2 weeks ago. (if you believe the echo, and i know that is a biog if). Itn is logical to reason that this is the inciidence that is being alluded to. People on here better than I ( and that is probably everyone) can find no trace of any meeting being held or is going to be held in the immediate future. Remember we all knew of the Malta meeting long before it happened. Therefore if no meeting has or is going to take place no Chairman was absent. If no meeting was or has taken place, a letter excusing absence was not required. It is logical therefore to assume ( and I know assumption is the mother of all c@ckups) that we come back to the recent letter of the 15 July which was circulated to all other clubs.
  4. So in reality .... We have discovered. 1. There was no league meeting. 2. 72 Chairmen not 1 failed to turn up because there was no meeting. 3. The FL sent no letter. 4. NC sent a letter to all 71 other clubs. So in total we have 1 truth. A letter was sent to all the clubs..
  5. Perhaps with all the wazzocks and numpty's posting on here of late it is time for all people not just out for an argumemt to simply PM each other and have intelligent discussions and differences of opinion without resorting to childish personal insults and innuendo's.
  6. At the end of last season I arranged to meet someone by Ted's statue before a match. It was interesting to note how many people walked by and gave his left foot a rub/tap. (The left foot is the one that is forward and easiest to reach). Whether they do this for luck, out of respect or thanks to the great man, or just out of habit I dont know. But it was all ages and sexes. I know I do it every time I pass the statue.
  7. Just been browsing the blue fews reply to their local rags article about KPB having to play in championship if not sold, and I came across this comment re:- David James. "if he wants 20k give him 20k, 10k as player and 10k as coach". I kid you not.. They just don't understand the word 'bust'. They never fail to amuse.
  8. As far as I can tell the facts are..... NI has for some reason had his ST application returned, and according to NI his attempts to get a response from the club have brought no reply. As far as I can see there are no other facts, just supposition, inferences, and personal opinions based on that persons views (whether biased or considered). And this has run to 13 pages? The season start can't come soon enough.
  9. Please don't take the p!ss out of Carlsberg. It needs all the flavour it can get.
  10. Regardless of the outcome of the Appeal, PCFC need money to keep trading. Does anyone know how much? Where it is coming from? And how long can they last at the current rate? I realise that BC is funding this to some extent but surely there has to be a point where liquidating the club is the only option left. I know this has probably been discussed before, but has anyone any ballpark figures on this.
  11. It was not 'a riot' that term is deliberately used to infer all sorts of things. This area of the protest was not a riot it was a protest. This man was on his way home from work. The police offier involved has admitted assaulting him. Yet because of delaying tactics used by the police evidence gathering team he will not be charged
  12. I can only assume that you are 'tarring everyone with the same brush' and are not taking this case on it's own merits. A man walking away with his hands in his pockets is struck by a police officer and subequently dies. No, accusation at anytime that this man was doing anything else than to try and get home. He wasn't involved in the protest.
  13. Appalling decision. A clear an assault as you are ever likely to get. The CPS have again lived up to their 'other name'. Criminal Protection Service. And before you think I some anti-establishment type. I served for 14 years as a policeman. I know the workings of the self protectionism in the police system. This will further distance the police from the main body of the population, who have little or no faith in the police to do the job we all employ them to do.
  14. I hate to to do this but I have to agree with DBP's . Last season including 1/2 season tickets we did indeed have 13,500. So unless current sales are 13,900 or so I cant see them being significantly higher at this moment in time. However with 3 weeks to go there is the distinct possibillity they might just reach 15,000. Well over last year.
  15. Sorry, That should have been City Centre Cruises.
  16. Centre of manchester greatly restored/renovated of late... Were moored righht behind the world cup screen.. Loads of clubs, pubs etc. Although on the edge of this there is still alot of rundown land and buildings. I cant remember the last time i saw so many Nylon tracksuits, baseball caps and bulldogs. Re the cruise to old trafford, have met the chap who does it, really nice bloke. Called city cruises.
  17. Not your uncle. If you are from skatetown your auntie is your sister. Your uncle is your brother.
  18. So Wednesday is the new Thursday is the new Friday.
  19. I agree it is definately a Health and Safety issue. Because if anyone blows one near me I'll stick it up his arse. Pretty poor world cup finals, all made worse by 2p worth of plastic. (a bit like some wags chests I have been told)
  20. Hi again, Hammy. Took a bit of a juaunt along the Bridgewater canal at the weekend with Mrs. LS . Never realised that it runs right in front of Old Trafford. Now that would be a way of travelling to a match. No traffic Jams and no drink-boating laws. Perhaps if we ask Markus nicely he might build a nice canal to the Itchen so we can save all the hassle at St. Marys. Did notice though that most of the windows in the Nb's up there were covered over to stop the locals stoning them. Starting to suss that reversing lark as well.
  21. I thought it was the other Morris, the Minor.
  22. Seriously though, some of you may recall I spoke with a few months back with a man who was an accountant acting for Mandric during his reign over the blue few. Had occasion to speak breifly with him again today. Summarising what he said as i remember it. He although having not had dealings with PFC since he left still has 'contacts' down there. His view is the that there has been some serious money irregularities going on down there and that a decent forensic examination should bring to light some major fraud issues. He believes HMRC want to make an example of a football club and PFC are a prime target. However the deal to liquidate the club so that persons can do a proper forensic examination may have seen them 'leaned on' so that they let the a proper fraud investigation take place, nailing and making an example of certain directors. He was explaining legalesse but most of it was gobbledygook. However he said that HMRC if they were certain of ther facts were likely to appeal just before the cutoff date. However if they dont fraud examinations would take place. IE PFC are in serious poo either way. He reckons that the charges brought against storrie teller, redbung etc. are just minor charges compared with what will eventually occur.
  23. Never had a job that paid a bonus, in 33years of numerous different occupations. Perhaps should have worked harder. (or fiddled the books, but not being a skate I wouldn't know how to.)
  24. Ok. How about starting a proper thread on the idea, perhaps on THE LOUNGE where others might come across it, and see if there is any other interest. If you could do that please if you have the dates, times, details etc. Perhaps we might meet and maybe put a face to a name.
  25. Hamster that is not a bad suggestion, a SWF car run to Goodwood sounds a good idea. Do you think there would be many takers? Perhaps meet at St . Marys and bimble on down there.
