Did delivery job once. Had a pick up at Salisbury' ground. Met Nick Holmes in corridor. Not a proper league club I know but better than doing cr@p at Northam I guess.

Strange thing Hamster I was there too. Saw that Roller, what a disgusting ugly heap of ****. Have to agree with S2000 comments, look a bit hairdressserish but a peach of a motor. Seen one of those engines in a mk1 Escort, great performance AND great looks.

Shows how quiet things are on our forum when we are reduced to trawling through pompey boards. However it brings back those days from last summer when we we trawling through any info. we could find, on our own near demise.

Is Cortese deliberately trying to annoy the fans.

I really wish I had never started this thread. As I have previously stated my original intention was for an open minded and intelligent discussion on what I personally think have been PR gaffs by SFC in my assumption that NC is instrumental in these decisions. I am not anti-NC in fact I am more than happy with the majority of what is occurring atSFC. I know one or two people on here like taking a antagonistic stance just for the fun of it, but some have genuine concerns over one or even a few recent announcements at the club. If we could all differentiate between the two and ignore one and debate with the other perhaps we could all continue more amicably. -
What has changed in 12 months. Just prior to ML arrival Kelvin had a contract at WestHam. All he had to do was to sign it, he even had a temporary house arranged as part of the deal. But as soon as The club was saved Kelvin reaffirmed his future to SFC. So why when we have a secure club and a exiting season in store, with his name first on the teamsheet, would he leave to sit on the bench?

Up in arms, suggests some sort of civil uprising which I am not suggesting or implying. However there is a growing minority of supporters who are not happy about what appears to them to be an continual erosion of the consideration to the ordinary supporter. -

I apologise for starting this tread. All I wanted to do was to have an intelligent and open minded discussion on what in my opinion are Errors of judgement that I am assuming are down to NC not completely understanding English football and their supporters. Instead it has been highjacked by persons who at best just like taking an extremist stance on any subject just for the hell of it. I apologise. -

Dear Trousers, it's a bit of a unansweable question, how do you answer the unanswerable? An opinion poll, maybe, but that only evaluates the feelings of those polled. Agreed this forum is too small a sample. But I as you do speak to other fans and I get the fairly consistant message that the fan is being seen more as a cash source than the core customer base. You don't annoy your customer. Simple explanatins are all that is required. I agree that in comparison with most other clubs in this country, let alone league, we are sitting pretty, bit all the more teson to get things right. As stated more eloquently above (ignoring DBSof course) so e decisions have been strange and unjustified. Le -

I know your only joking, but what I'm trying, not well, to say is, is that he needs to get the fans on board, get a bit more PR savvy and stop p!ssing the fans off. -

As I said I don't think so but that doesn't t avoid the fact that that is the effect. -
I have supported saints for over 40 years, and was vociferous in my desire to rid us of 'Duckhunter Lowe". N.C. came in saying all the right words of transparency, communication, and 'giving the club back to the fans'. But despite promises in the charter, they have dropped the instalment plan at short notice, penalising the poorer fan. He has introduced £3 additions to sales, again penalising the poorer fan, and now he has abandoned ST holers to 'claom' their usual seats. All of these things in isolation are not major things, but the culminative effect of these I know has p!ssed off slot of fans. I think NC needs to takeore advice from people like D. Luker, to repair some of this PR damage. If he was deliberately trying to gradually annoy people this would be the way to go. Deliberate? I don't think so. But definately avoidable.

We have all heard the allegations and rumours about the corruption surrounding Sepp Blatter and FIFA. A short while back we had comments by Lord Treesman concerning allegations of potential Referee/match fixing in the world cup finals, prompting his resignation. Now the Finals are more than half over has there been any sign of match fixing?

I don't consider Mondeo's and Mk 4, 5, 6 Escort s as Old fords. Cortina and mk 1, 2 Escort are old fords but not Mondeos.

I must be getting old because I tend to agree with you. If the changes were neccessary for some technical problem solving reason, then I'll have to live with it. But change for changes sake is a no-no in. My eyes. Of it ain't broke, don't fix it.

One for you mini owners out ther who want alot more ooomph. The MG metro engine (excluding the Turbo version) was the most powerful factory production 'A' series engine. Got one for sale ... going on ebay sunday if noone out there wants to make me a sensible offer for it.

And Wotton wasn't here then.

I think you will find that the Falmer Stadium is being built with a £95 million LOAN from their chairman. Fancy being landed with debt nearly that of Skatesmuff. No thank you.

Something for nothing is what they expect. When did you last hear of a hard working pikey. There all on benefits. We are paying fot them.

Please could someone telle how many members the Trust has, and explain it's make up as I for one don't much about it...... I know N.I. Is happy to give his opinion when the Echo asks. But if I was asked I would be happy to give my opinion. I believe there is a place for some sort of fans group to liase with the Club over issues that has caused some concern amongst the fans. Is the trust a sizable group to do this? Are they usually representative of the fans?Do people think some kind of representative fans group is deirable? a

It will be at home. Because I'm away on the second saturday ( which will be an away match) and as I am a season ticket holder, and we know what high regard the club places in season ticket holders they will arrange it that way. :-)

When I was in Plymouth You could get a shot gun for £20 and an AK47 for £150 if you knew who to ask. The stuff that you could get fr service personnel was scary.

How would this affect debtors voting for/against CVA? Knowing this is in the legal syst should have some affect surely?

the problem is in some ways both have historical rights over this land. In fact both are (if you believe Biblical accounts) descended from Abraham. So in effect we have the unsolveable problem, whilst either/or both insist on a military solution to the problems. Both claim provaction, both claim defense of homeland. rather You than me solve this one.

The 'Irish Troubles' as they were called only went back 400 years or so, the Israeli/Palistinian 'troubles' go back 4000 years to the times of Abraham. The recent forcible movement of the Palistinians from that area is just one in a numerous 're-adjustment' of the controlling resident population none of whom have had a good track record including the British Occupying forces. I agree totally that sponsership and support overtly or covertly by other nations of both sides only intensifies the servity and length of this dispute. It has and will be a war in which only hatred for each other is a constant.... Now if all supplies were cut off to all sides, how it would develope I dont know....

If the Isle of Wight started mortaring the main land, sent suicide bombers into Southampton and London and was basically a armed training camp of persons who have vowed to destroy britain and all its population, then the British Public and Governent would have a different opinion. Now I dont agree with the tactics or attitude of the Israeli Government, but I dont know how I would react or feel in these circumstances.
