Since Markus died NC has stated that this will be his last job and intends staying on for the long haul. A statement has been issued via the club on the Liebherrs family behalf staing they are honouring Markus's wishes and are sticking with (investing in?) the club. The Liebherr family are regular attendees at St. Mary's. New plans for Staplewood are ongoing. NA and NC have said money available for transfers January. Markus's untimely death was not unexpected apparently, and knowing what little I do about him he would have prepared and made his wishes over the club made clear to those he loved and trusted. Put this against 3 lines of unsubstantiated (non source stated) gossip in the gossip section of a frankly dross so-called newspaper .......

Lallana was tapped up by Spuds last season, but declined because he wanted to stay at Saints. Le Tissier could have moved on numerous occasions but decided to stay with us. Basically it just comes down to where the player wants to be. If Ox is happy here I hope we can continue to afford him and keep him happy competitively wise. His England chances dont seem to have been compromised as he was chosen for the U-18 squad a few weeks back. So If we get promoted this season, money is made available for good quality transfers, and the whole club is forward looking and progressing well, I can see Ox and Lallana staying for another season or 2. If not???????

Many on here seems to have missed the almost aside from the program reference the demands made by FIFA to the host country which we have signed up to. There were several requirements including FIFA its members and all working for and on its behaf will pay absolutely no tax at all. Nothing ,zippo, zilch. Therefore The $3bn that FIFA will get for hosting the games will not be subject to tax of any kind. Also neither will its members (corrupt or otherwise) or their families or companies/businesses.

The final bit about Al -Fahim.... If he is due 1,000,000 pound over 5 years:- Is this in addition to the amount they already owe, or is it already included but he is just seeeking clarification. Because in their position finding even 200,000 pound a year might be difficult.

They are gaurantteed some income because the FL has their Season ticket money and is handing it back as appropriate as the season progresses. I cant remember how many ST's they sold but lets say 5000. And if they are averaging 10,000 other tickets sales every match that is at average $20 add on season tickets and tv money you get about $600000 per month... Wages for their 2 highest earners comes to nearly half that not including tax NI etc. Then you have rest of squad playing staff, backroom staff, daily exspenses etc. They cant be breaking even.......... The sums even by me the worlds worse mathematician dont just add up.....

Getting tedious? They were tedious and utter guano from their very inception. However back to the great EU Ripoff. Did you notice how all the worst offenders were British MEP's. This Country is still world class at something, even if it is ripping off the ordinary tax payer.

The first few games Morgan was more up for it than last season, but he just seems to have faded. Lambert has not yet got going. But sell them? You must be having a laugh surely. Or is this a whooosh moment. Chaplow, what he lacks in skill he makes up for in enthusiasm. He's like my collie, run him all day and he'll keep wanting to run some more. He chases down more lost balls and wins back more play than most of the rest of the team put together. You cant have 11 silky smooth prima-donna's in a team, look at Man City, (poor example but you know what I mean) you also need your work horse who will give you 100% every time.

Remember the the Blue Few give away 2000 tickets every week to the forces, and sometimes an extra 1000 to local schools. Dont think they did this week. But makes you wonder having to give away tickets just to get people through the doors.

Saturday it was blatently obvious that tactics did have a role to play. As it does in any game of whatever sport you play. After 20 mins it was obvious to anyone that although we had the lions share of play we had no penetration. Lambert was stranded up front on his own with no one to head/pass the ball to. Start of the second half when the two wide midfield started to come forward a bit (probably after a half time b*ll*cking from NA), we showed a bit more incisiveness. However it was only when we eventually went 4-4-2 that we seemed to get going, and if changed earlier, could have got us something out of the match. We are all human and c*ckups like own goals happen. Agreed several players were below standard on saturday but we still had the skill to win that game despite this. Few teamks in this league can cope with us going forward, home or away, we should use what we have to our advantage not neuralise it like we did for 3/4 the match at Carlisle.

4-5-1 we were basically although having a lot of play, Lambert in his current poor fo could not produce any incisive moves. When we started conceeding some players lost it. Jahidi distribution was his usual poor self. As soon as we went 4-4-2 the play changed dramatically as if the players knew what they were doing and were happy. From this point we were far more dominant and even with some players still playing poorly, if the change had been made to 4-4-2 earlier we should have gone on to win.

Going to Castleford early tomorrow. Mrs LS suggested driving on after to Carlisle. Just got to love a woman like that.

I think some of them are getting it. Spoke to a skate today, just a bloke with a skate shirt on, in front of me in a queue, and after the usual banter had a discussion on future financial position. He simply said that if they dont get promoted this season then they are toast. (he said a naughty word with sexual conertations really, but thats what he was saying). He said he didn't even know how they would survive to end of season. However he also said that he has spoken to others PFC fans who think they would be best off in Championship for a while, and they really thought they were financially safe!!!!!

I understand that those who think LB is MD are wrong. I even think LB has stated on here he is not MD. Now if he lied when he said he wasn't MD that would mean he could be lying about anything else he has said. Now do we trust him about him not being MD but being ITK. If he is MD when he said he wasn't MD he may not be ITK.
