  1. Ivan Golac, absolute legend..... Mad as a bucket of frogs, but his defending / forward runs were I agree the standard by which saints fans of a 'certain age' will judge all other RB's.
  2. Dream Economy?????? I'll have some of whatever your on. Ayatollah Maggie her henchmen ruined virtually every part of this country. Black Wednesday, mines shut down just fore an political whim. Schools, hospitals police starved of funding. Not that the smiling assasin Blair was any better. Just remember. POLITICS..... POLY means many and tics are bloodsuckers. There all the same.
  3. Mrs LS and I are intending to go, from post above would appear plenty of tickets on the gate. Is this definate?
  4. My neighbour has a pink 1959 Cadillac Elorado, the one with the big fins, who hires it out for weddings etc.
  5. Thurrock play in blue sq. South. Same league as Salisbury. They lost 4-0 tonight. Holloway was in goal for Thurrock, so Four-past couldn't even make it into their first team. Says it all really.
  6. Mr Neil is showing his bo!!ocks in public? Isn't that naughty?
  7. PCSO ...... An absolute joke on the whole. One or two good ones, but on the whole a waste of good skin. Most real police man know they are just a useless wate of taxes. They are a result of New Labour trying to do policing on the cheap. No powers to do proper policing.
  8. Showed the clip to my daughter. She informed me that this iady steward gad been officious towards her at a ptevious game. Threatening to throw her out, and overreacting to the crime of standing when things on the pitch got exciting. This was in the Northam / Kingsland corner quite some way back. Just a thought. I don't know how many people will have seen this incident or more likely the video clip. But doesn't this make her job as a steward a bit difficult. Next match she is bound to get some clever comment from someone. Or even some sort of group chant. Her authority level has been affected, perhaps she should be moved to a less stressful area for a while.£
  9. Didn't see this outside, however Mrs LS witnessed the lady steward in question leaving St. Marys just in front of us. She appeared to be already well wound up and was shouting at some young lad who was just banging on a bin with his hand. Did witness some police officer cascoing someone.
  10. Remember it well. Live just other side of Pepperbox, got to match ok. Couldn't get home. Mrs LS and I ended up sleeping on my sisters living room floor.
  11. We get free papers at work, so I have scanned a couple of the extracts. The thing that amused me and probably got up the other players noses, was his comment refering to the WAG's, regarding his girlfriend, no idea what her name is, being the youngest in age but the eldest in attitude. Implying that the WAG's were a group of airhead bimbos. That probably endeared himself to his teammates.
  12. Mrs LS and I go into the big city (myself being Wiltshire born, breed, and resident) maybe do a bit of shopping, her choice not mine, have lunch together and then go to the match. After we go out for a meal together. We make a day of it together. As for the match, rarely eat anything, but maybbe a drink (non alcoholic).
  13. Champions League? Why not? Let's imagine in next couple of years we reach Premiership. We then establish ourselves as a regular mid table team. Our acadamy all this time is still developing. Because We are in the premiership the clubs financial position grows and we can afford to bring in better players. Our own academy players will not be so inclined to leave. We slowly year on year through good financial stewardship, coupled with a good mix of homegrown youngsters, and brought-in talent and experience improve our league position. Eventually we are then in the challenge for that final CL spot. Manure got relegated with us 30+ years ago. Look how they have risen to a place where they dominate English football. Nothing is impossible with good financial backing and stewardship, a dash of luck and some dreams.
  14. Nobody is perfect, we all make mistakes. And I agree NC has made mistakes. But he makes his in public, most of us make ours in relative anonymity. (unless we post on here, then possibly as many as 4 or 5 others will share our errors). However I don't understand what Roger Dan et al are getting at. As an old Saints fan, for the first time in a number of years not only I know things are on the up but other clubs supporters are beginning to see us not just doing well, but playing good football too. The club is making firm long term foundations on and off the pitch. This cost money. NC has stated he wants this club to be self supporting financially. So when Roger etc make statements that are either insignificant, inaccurrateor unsubstantiated I personally wonder what there motives or mental processes are.

If u had £1,000,000 windfall, spent £500,000 on mortgage holiday car etc. Invested the rest. The interest would be circa £25,000 per annul. That is more than a lot of us are on and we have to pay a mortgage out of that. I personally could very happily retire on £25,000 a year and no mortgage. I might even be able to afford NC's ticket tax.
  16. Reason he is hated so much is he is absolutely sh!te. I have had the misfortune of seeing him play on more than one occasion, and he is worse than terrible. He is so bad there aren't words to describe it.
  17. The bald fella is even worse, can we have SD back please.
  18. Have you seen Jaidi play this season? My gran is more athletic, and faster in movement and foresight than him, and she's been dead for 35 years.
  19. Mrs LS says I'm a miserable moody sod when we lose.
  20. Obviously not from Pompey as she is taxing HER car. Ie it's het car and not stolen. It must be roadworthy (mot and insurance).
  21. With Jaidi in defence going by his 'memorial' performance, we are sunk. He was absolute horrendous. Ponderous in body and mind, couldn't head, tackle, pass, read game or anything slightly productive. as bad a match as I have seen anyone play.
  22. Haven't read the article, so I have no idea of timescale involved. Is this just Echo rehashing old news, or they have just heard of the Fine which was actually imposed some time ago, or has he been fined very recently. The interviews I know of occurred a number of weeks ago. I therefore assume that the fine was imposed just after them. This is a quiet period for the Echo so beware that they aren't just giving some of the facts and neglecting to write the whole story. IMO this occurred a while back and AOC has got his head round it and is staying. Just Echo in typical stirring up mode.
  23. It has probably been said in course of this thread, but in my true form I have missed it. Tomorrow is 1st July official open day of transfer season I think. NC appears to be a stickler for doing things to the book. There is a press conference tomorrow. Yes I know I am putting 2 and 2 together and making 17, but what if NC/NA have made signings and tomorrow they will be unveiled, as correct on transfer opening day. However I am only trying to make the puzzle pieces fit and it's just announcing the new official pie flavour for our match day enjoyment ..... Parmesan and pasta .
  24. No strike where I am (Wiltshire). Don't hear much about your binmen strike at all here. Is it really that bad? As bad as the days of Edward Heath yet?
  25. AOC according to SP would have been picked but his injury came at just the wrong time In the season. AL got into the initial squad but failed to make the cut.
