  1. Mrs LS and I are planning on going. Can we park in St. Mary's? Presume it is still going ahead, it has been hissing it down all morning here in Salisbury.
  2. Politically the BBC is always suspect because they have to keep their paymasters, whoever is in power, happy. However they can do things well when they have the mindset to. Unfortunately they often do most things too fast, and on the cheap, often making basic errors.
  3. Perhaps if Big John uses his rapier like intellect he may beat Weston or others on here in the race to 'out' leftback. However to be personally honest I think leftback, whoever he is, should remain anonymous.
  4. Here is a wild guess based on no facts what-so-ever. Eelpie suggests Liebherr Ladies were at match. Perhaps NC wasn't in his seat because he was in their private box....
  5. If you have to ask that question ........ I know life gets in the way sometimes, like last Saturday. I was stood in a Sky retainers with a complete assh@le of Skate sky salesman trying to get the scores. Just listen to Saints and record the eggchasers. Simples
  6. I particularily like the 536 residential units in 8 blocks. Plans as far back as 2004 for housing around PFC, allthat is needed is an addendum and planning for residential 'ON' PFC. ;-)
  7. At £25 a pop I think a lot of Saints fans wouldn't have bothered. At £15 it's more likely that people will go. According to OS they have opened up blocks 3 and 43. This must mean that as far as the Shrews are concerned, even at the reduced prices they aren't bringing many. OS also hinted they may start opening Chapel end, so ticket sales must be going OK at Itchen and Northam for them to initially open 3 and 43, and then hint chapel too. By my very basic calculations, for every 1000 tickets at £25 we need to sell 1667 tickets at £15 for same income. However this does not include a number of these extra 667 punters buying programs, beer, pies etc. Or bringing little ones for their first matches, visiting shop and buying shirts, scarfs etc. The maths isn't as straightforward as £25 v £15.
  8. Seem to remember that when NC had tea with the fans, it was trotted back that the actual plans had been modified and the whole lot had gone back for planning approval.
  9. To "fan the flames" you need flames to fan. In this instance I think the only flames are in the figment of the imagination of someone whom I am presuming has in some way been wronged (whether actually or imagined) by Mr NC.
  10. I believe I am right in saying that the bank dont trust PFC with the season ticket money and are only releasing it in 'chunks' as and when specific stages in the season have been reached. This is prudent of course because it secures the ST holders money in case of liquidation. It also gaurantees PFC an income at certain known dates. But it also precludes PFC spending it when it comes to a particularily 'sticky' period. Of which there are a few coming up IF various posters on here are anywhere slighty accurate.
  11. Have the cheats got Rooney in on loan yet. With their two fingers up to 'administration' and all the financial constraints that SHOULD stand for, I 'm surprised they haven't offered Rooney the 200,000 quid a week he wants.
  12. Salisbury (the whites) I have watched occasionally.. Went to school in Salisbury and dad being a farmer went with him to market there. Saw them a few times as a lad including their FA Cup tie they played at The Dell, (Millwall wasn't it). Watched them most when we were deep in sh!te under the last days of Duck Hunter, instead of going to away matches. Saw a few regular Saints fans there too. In fact I know of a couple of season ticket holders in that season who stopped attending St. Mary's completely and went to Salisbury all that season. instead.
  13. Pompey Council have the legal clause. We all know following this case that the law can be amended dependent on circumstances. I' m sure if a builder were to put forward a strong case to the council which helped the council with housing costs in this difficult financial climate, that the 'clause' could be amended to facilitate this.
  14. Just let me get this right. PFC mount up huge debts they cant pay. The judge at high court is nice to them. A CVA is agreed, which effectively writes off about £100million in debt. PFC then within months gets into a situation whereby it can't pay it's own staff. Deja vu all over again. Now I 'm guessing that due to their very recent financial problems companies will only deal with them in cash. So with no cash reserves this makes trading increasingly difficult.
  15. I also like the 13000 tickets sold bit as well. Best fans in the world ™. "The blue few" should be their trademark.
  16. Kennet and Avon canal, right through bath. Walk along canal to pub, have a decent meal and liquid of your choice, then walk it all off on way back. Very peaceful and scenic. Just watch out at rush hour times for kamakazi cyclists using route for quick access to and from work. Throw them and their bl""dy bikes in the cut all of them.
  17. surely not..... please explain more. Source etc. To be serious for a minute I cant believe that they would default on payments the very day the FL are considering their position. Or is it a deliberate attempt to force the FL's hand.
  18. Didn't know Hamster was into bingo, but I suppose It's the right game for his age group.
  19. Cortese has always stated that this club has to be self-supporting. To achieve this a redevelopment of the surrounding area to generate income for the club I would guess to be a logical, and with the backing that I hope we now have, financially possible.
  20. Spoke to him at Tranmere game as well, so this Indian summer must be making it too warm for hibernation yet. Must be heading off on narrow-boat again soon.
  21. Isn't Cortese Swiss/Italian... If so it will be a cuckoo clock in his bed.
  22. Yep, he was at Bummouth game.
  23. The Who... a favoured band of mind... Baba O'Rielly truely brilliant. As for the 'who' shout at footy. Don't do it myself but each to their own. Not worth moaning about
  24. Sorry IKEA is not a phobia.... A phobia is an irrational fear.... IKEA for any man is truely rational.
  25. I was arrested for something I didn't do on the evidence of a dodgy witness. Made worse by the totally incompetent Police investigation. Got to court before the whole thing was shown to be the crock of sh!t it was. Do not assume anything until ALL the evidence is revealed. Many a reputation has been ruined by idle gossip and conviction by newspaper.
