  1. posh come from behind 4-3
  2. wasnt the extra posession them picking the ball out of the net!
  3. I live in and work in Peterborough was born in Southampton I work most weekends so only get to go to a handful of games all away, about 4-5 a season but I've been doing that through the good times and the bad. A fans a Fan IMO I hate the snobbery some fans have towards others who, given the money and chance would love to go every game but for many its just not feasible, most of us are just trying to do our part to get behind the team, if its buying a shirt or a season ticket it shouldn't really matter we are all on the same side at the end of the day.
  4. I can see your point but if you look at those 4 defeats in perspective they include the swindon defeat under Wilkins and MK dons which was adkins first game, losing away to Huddersfield and Carlisle Is nothing to be ashmed of. we will see over next few weeks what our real travelling form is.
  5. I believe there is an update comming this month or next that will allow it. it is capable of playing some 3d games too including motorstorm and wipeout.
  6. I'm in the same boat and really want one been looking around for sometime, I'd say wait a few months some intresting news I read about the availability of 3d Blu rays has put me off a bit, Avatar is going to be exclusive to Panasonic owners for some time ( http://news.cnet.com/8301-17938_105-20015478-1.html ) sony have exlusives on some disney films including alice in woderland, samsung have a deal with dreamworks for several months .no real details how long the exlusivity will be for these deals. Also early models suffer some from crosstalk especially the LED LCD TVS Panasoinc Plasmas have thier own issues but are supposed to be the better option right now.
  7. in regards to HD quality on some channels first thing to consider is the source material HD, a lot of channels will simply upscale much like some dvd players do SD footage so that it looks better on HD channels, it still wont compare however to stuff thats been shot in HD natively. to the OP are you watching on the same TV that you always have or have you upgraded size of your TV? the larger your screen in a lot of cases the worse SD footage begins to look. one of the key points of HD is to keep the quality of the image on much larger screen. But like I said earlier its probably a cost cutting device for bandwith.
  8. just a heads up for those driving to the game that may be comming on the a421 from north of MK apparently there are some delays/roadworks to be aware of.
  9. maybe its not bieng done deliberatly, I would guess Sky pay X amount for X amount of bandwidth so to cut costs they compress the crap out of the SD signal to get more out of there HD signal. it would also make the HD signal appear even better, they certainly wont scrimp as much on the HD IMO. I work for a multi channel shopping telly company and the more channels we run the crapper the overall quality is as we dont necessarily pay the premium for bandwidth.
  10. hot and spicy?
  11. I think Cortese's happy enough knowing how fickle football supporters are, and that the right appointment and a few good results, (which hes probbably fairly confident of) the fans will come flooding back quickly forgetting about AP. I rember when Lowe bought in Glenn Hoddle as 'temporary' manager during Dave Jones time here, there was a bit of outrage due to the lack of support Jones got when that role was made permanent, that was quickly forgotten by most.
  12. slight problem with this though alas Curt Henning aka Mr.perfect died about 7 years ago:(
  13. meh didnt work:( not very good at this lark
  14. maybe a new mascot idea

    Away games

I must admit I'm in a similar place to the OP but even in the good times I have never really stuggled to get away tickets even in the slightly better times, I think its just a case of generally getting in early enough, I think for the majority of games you will be fine though some of the games will be a little trickier to get hold of.
  17. sadly I think we will finish around 4 points behind huddersfield which I really dont think would be anything to be ashamed of this season. Considering I dont think it was till around game 12 we finally managed to get into positive points and aquiring 58 points in 27 games is nothing to be scoffed at. I recall posters saying araound that time we would need to average around 2 points a game after are first 10 games to make playoffs its seems that that will not even be enough this season.
  18. Ah its good to see the PL look after its own, especially when there are far more deserving clubs throughout the country perilously close to going under. I think the PL will come out of this looking like a rich boys club unless the monies come with a huge points penalty, 'dont wory lads doesn't matter how badly run you are, trading illegally no worries just take this wad of cash and you're problems are over.' What about the other clubs rumoured to be close to admin this season? will they get the same courtesy.
  19. looks like somoen popped 50p in the meter the sites back up now
  20. my father has spent the last 3 months in an NHS hospital, do I think the systems free or perfect no, am I happy paying my National insurance to help keep my father in there yes. from what I am aware of the US health system my father would have struggled to get insured because of a pre existing condition and if he could would be paying through the nose for it. the extremes that the Republican party have been spouting about our healthcare system calling it 'evil' just seems to me to hark back to their paranoia that their country could turn into some kind of communist state with such a system. Yes most of us pay for the UK healthcare system via national insurance and to an extent with prescription charges anyone claiming its truly free is out of their mind. But we have a system that says when you are down on your luck and need aid and treatment you will get the same treatment as the man next to you.
  21. Am i the only one conerned by this man brokering the deal?
  22. That joke came quicker than I thought:) speculation will be rife if the deal collapses later today!
  23. If we really have a case why are we not rushing it through the courts? surely at least to get some kind of hearing as to the legality of the document. If the FL are in the wrong and the Pinnacle bid fails they must be leaving themselves open to one almighty lawsuit from both Pinnacle and the players?
  24. I really should of checked my spelling
  25. Finally some seriuos jounalism about the plight of the club:)
