His goalscoring record is just outstanding for us. His game has improved so much. His vision, passing, freekicks, penalties and his discipline are incredible. I think he is our best player personally.

If cortese has vetoed Beattie signing then it's awful. Then he would be effectively vetoing adkins then there's problems.
