Any club can lose players if they're good and they want to leave (see De Gea) Look at what's happened to Villa and Sunderland this summer. Their fans would probably consider their club bigger than Saints. Our good academy and good recruitment recently is what's making us in particular a target.

Actually, the upside was that we realistically challenged for the Champions League places and didn't lose players for free at the end of their contract.
