Terrorist Attacks - WARNING: CONTAINS DISTRESSING IMAGES
Jimmy_D replied to sadoldgit's topic in The Lounge
"Here and now Islam has a much bigger problem with violence than any other religion." could certainly have been seen to imply otherwise. In any case, I think SOG took that to be aimed at all Muslims, which from this it appears he maybe shouldn't have done, and also that you could have made your point a bit better. You're still choosing to use ad hominem attacks rather than clarify your point. Personally, my view is that it's a twisted view of Islam that's being used to 'justify' these attacks by a tiny minority of extremists. If it wasn't Islam, it would be something else. Islam as a religion is a victim here, not the cause. -
Terrorist Attacks - WARNING: CONTAINS DISTRESSING IMAGES

So when are you going to stop your ad hominem arguments against SOG and actually address his quite valid point that the vast VAST majority of Muslims are peaceful, normal people that don't deserve to be viewed with any suspicion or malice whatsoever? -
Nico very impressive the last couple of races, wonder if he can carry it into next season and make more of a fight of it?

I wouldn't give any sort of review to the teams personally. It's ridiculous though, that the referees don't have some sort of access to the technology themselves. People would still end up feeling hard done by, wrong calls would made, but the right calls would be made more often.

Would be quite amusing if they actually start using that now...

Can't remember the name of a surreal comedy, help please?

http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/SurrealHumor Try looking under the Live-Action TV section there. (Also, fair warning, the TV Tropes site can be ADDICTIVE) -
I'm still annoyed with Morgan for the way he tried to force his way out, but I do respect the way he knuckled down and put in good performances for us when it didn't work out for him, instead of sulking and phoning in performances the way some players do when they're trying to force a move. Lallana was allowed to leave, and so never got a chance to redeem himself, and no one ever took away his spade to stop him from carrying on digging while it all happened.

The item, described by producers as "a world famous piece owned by a sporting institution", was discovered during filming in North Yorkshire. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-york-north-yorkshire-34659885 Makes you wonder if they've only gone and found the original Jules Rimet trophy! Other than that, only thing I could think of was an early Olympic torch, or something similar, that would fit with that description possibly?

Reckon Liverpool are more disappointed with that than we are

Two great goals and we're though to the next round!

Yoshidinho!

Unbelievable. ROI beat Germany.

Chelsea's would have been a penalty... IF he hadn't dived first. It was the equivalent of missing an open goal from a yard out, we were lucky that the player was stupid enough to dive when he didn't need to, and lucky that the ref spotted it. (Although I wouldn't be surprised if the ref thought he was evening things up.) In any case, the correct decision was made. Mourinho's rant was nothing more than a desperate attempt to shift focus and blame away from himself. Normally when he starts going off like that, it's to draw the focus to himself and take the pressure off the players, but here he was shifting some of the blame onto the players themselves, as well as the referee. Unless Chelsea can suddenly turn it around and go on a winning streak to drag themselves back into the top four race, I think he'll either walk or be pushed before Christmas.

Huh, good point! Guess the stat I saw was just talking about the Premier League.

Jose completely without class in his post match interview.
