What a way to finish it! Unbelievable game.
-
Spurs defence, however....
-
Have to say Spurs attack is quite something to watch this season.

The actual rule is below the level of the armpit if the arms are down by the sides. Looks like it should have been overturned, albeit a fairly close call.
-
Oh man.... What a finish! Can’t help but feel that game would have been amazing to be in the ground for though...

Had absolutely no chance of flying that one. Part of what's good about the current voting structure is that it stops daft ideas like that one. I guess they'll start talking about a European breakaway league again now. The chance of a European breakaway league was already pretty remote and an empty threat before COVID. Between the risk of legal ramifications over player registration, financial risk of getting it off the ground, and the fans simply not wanting it, not to mention the additional complication of keeping COVID secure a league that's creating travel all over Europe every week... it'll remain an empty threat for the foreseeable future.

I think they've looked at people having a few extra quid from not going to games and based the pricing on undercutting that. They've forgotten that everyone's been getting those games for nothing extra for months, and that watching games on TV even when the atmosphere on there isn't like a training game is a crap experience compared to being at the match. Never mind that most people are looking at where they can reduce spending at the moment, on top of that, this just encourages people to group together to watch and split the cost. That's a fantastic idea during a global pandemic

Solent are about to get the highest listening numbers they've had for a while.

Great showing by Ings capped off by a fantastic goal. Really nice showing by JWP off the bench too. Obviously it wouldn't have been playing for us, but you have to wonder how good Ings would have been without the injuries...

So do you want everyone to pretend that masks don't help, so that you don't have to wear one? Or do you want footballers to stop playing football, despite taking a different route to reducing risk? Or do you want footballers to start playing football with masks on?
-
He might not have ended up being what we wanted him to be for us, but if nothing else he gave us an absolute gem of a goal.

There's no need for the (sic) as it's an American video. The 50% isn't pulled out of thin air, it's what university studies have shown the effectiveness of a basic cotton mask to be based on studies of relative infection rates, after any other effects have also taken effect, for example feeling safer. https://royalsociety.org/-/media/policy/projects/set-c/set-c-facemasks.pdf?la=en-GB&hash=A22A87CB28F7D6AD9BD93BBCBFC2BB24 Of course there are other ways that it can be transmitted, and you should be taking precautions against those too, basic hand washing and avoiding touching your face for a start. That doesn't mean you should ignore the effectiveness of wearing a mask. Anyone choosing to ignore that at this point is just putting themselves and others at unnecessary risk, and being pretty selfish to be honest.

Anyone that has any doubts about the effectiveness of masks, and why it's important to wear one, should watch this.

He always had excellent defensive stats for Saints, that's the reason Spurs wanted him. His passing isn't the best, and that was more visible when he played for Saints than the defensive work he put in. It's one of those incredibly rare transfers where both teams have done well out of it. KWP is more valuable to us with a few years on his contract in a weak position for us than Hojbjerg was with one year left on his contract in a position where we have more options, and Hojbjerg is more valuable to Spurs than a right back they weren't using. We've lost one of our better midfielders, and Spurs have lost arguably their best right back.
-
Obviously the last couple of seasons haven't been the best for him, but a combination of Hasenhuttl, as well as the fitness Saints tend to be able to instil in players could be exactly what he needs to get the best out of him. Relatively low risk on loan, and with a bit of luck, HCDAJFU

The hangover from that won’t be the easiest for Liverpool to get over. Especially with their best attacker out for a while longer yet.
-
Anyone else hoping Villa get 9 now?
-
Safe to say it’s just not Liverpool’s day today.
-
Ah, apologies to him, yet another thing I’ve cursed by posting on here lol

The BBC live text commentator was claiming he’s got an accumulator for 6-1 scoreline on both at half time!
-
Just as a bit of icing, the Watkins hat-trick was a perfect one. Left foot, right foot, header.
-
Had a fantastic start to the season. Unbelievable considering how close they were to relegation.
-
What is happening here?
-
Certainly had a couple of nice finishes today!
