So do you want everyone to pretend that masks don't help, so that you don't have to wear one? Or do you want footballers to stop playing football, despite taking a different route to reducing risk? Or do you want footballers to start playing football with masks on?
  2. He might not have ended up being what we wanted him to be for us, but if nothing else he gave us an absolute gem of a goal.

There's no need for the (sic) as it's an American video. The 50% isn't pulled out of thin air, it's what university studies have shown the effectiveness of a basic cotton mask to be based on studies of relative infection rates, after any other effects have also taken effect, for example feeling safer. https://royalsociety.org/-/media/policy/projects/set-c/set-c-facemasks.pdf?la=en-GB&hash=A22A87CB28F7D6AD9BD93BBCBFC2BB24 Of course there are other ways that it can be transmitted, and you should be taking precautions against those too, basic hand washing and avoiding touching your face for a start. That doesn't mean you should ignore the effectiveness of wearing a mask. Anyone choosing to ignore that at this point is just putting themselves and others at unnecessary risk, and being pretty selfish to be honest.

Anyone that has any doubts about the effectiveness of masks, and why it's important to wear one, should watch this.
  5. He always had excellent defensive stats for Saints, that's the reason Spurs wanted him. His passing isn't the best, and that was more visible when he played for Saints than the defensive work he put in. It's one of those incredibly rare transfers where both teams have done well out of it. KWP is more valuable to us with a few years on his contract in a weak position for us than Hojbjerg was with one year left on his contract in a position where we have more options, and Hojbjerg is more valuable to Spurs than a right back they weren't using. We've lost one of our better midfielders, and Spurs have lost arguably their best right back.
  6. Obviously the last couple of seasons haven't been the best for him, but a combination of Hasenhuttl, as well as the fitness Saints tend to be able to instil in players could be exactly what he needs to get the best out of him. Relatively low risk on loan, and with a bit of luck, HCDAJFU
  7. The hangover from that won’t be the easiest for Liverpool to get over. Especially with their best attacker out for a while longer yet.
  8. Anyone else hoping Villa get 9 now?
  9. Safe to say it’s just not Liverpool’s day today.
  10. Ah, apologies to him, yet another thing I’ve cursed by posting on here lol
  11. The BBC live text commentator was claiming he’s got an accumulator for 6-1 scoreline on both at half time!
  12. Just as a bit of icing, the Watkins hat-trick was a perfect one. Left foot, right foot, header.
  13. Had a fantastic start to the season. Unbelievable considering how close they were to relegation.
  14. What is happening here?
  15. Certainly had a couple of nice finishes today!
  16. Makes our showing against Spurs look half decent. Our defence might have been terrible but at least we didn’t just completely throw in the towel like United just did.
  17. Comfortable win, clean sheet, and two fantastic goals ^_^
  18. Bloody Hell! What a goal!
  19. A proper Cruyff turn, to sell a defender, directly into a goal... that one will be on the highlight reel at the end of the season ^_^
  20. As unlikely as it would be to happen, and as much as I dislike Everton, it'd still be bloody funny if they did a Leicester and Liverpool had to hand their trophy over to them... ...and cue a Brighton equalizer immediately
  21. Burnley have been a bogey team for us, nice to finally(!) win at Turf Moor. Did well to limit Burnley’s chances but they didn’t make it too difficult for us.
  22. Gerrin! Nice to get up and running, especially against a bogey team for us.
  23. Guh. We’ll be looking at this one as dropped points if we don’t win.
  24. Maybe Spurs are planning on telling him they're shooting the other way. It'll be non-stop attacking through-balls from him. In all seriousness, there's a good player there for Spurs, especially if a manager manages to take advantage of the stuff he's good at (which he's VERY good at) and minimise the stuff he's not so good at. Whether Mourinho is that manager, time will tell.
