If anyone wants to save themselves £25, you could just buy this one from Pro-Direct Soccer, with the added bonus of it being sponsor-free http://www.prodirectsoccer.com/Products/adidas-Tiro-13-Short-Sleeve-Football-Shirt-Mens-Football-Teamwear-University-RedWhite-60786.aspx

Shirt sales make up such a small proportion of the club's revenue that buying the shirt doesn't really make much difference other than adding to a number that Pravda can then trot out and say "it was our best/fastest selling shirt of all time". However, because of the way these things tend to work, it would put a hell of a lot of pressure on those lower down the food chain but still in decision-making positions at the club if a particular shirt sold really badly in comparison to the previous one. Not buying the shirt if you want change can make a difference, it just requires other people to do likewise, which is the main problem due to the sheep-like mentality of football fans.
-
It is, but you end up looking a bit ****ing silly if you start a "Save our Stripes" campaign only to end up wilfully parting with your cash for a shirt that clearly contradicts your campaign.
-
So what you're saying is that you're the perfect marketing guinea pig who will buy absolutely any old **** the club decide to throw your way? Brilliant. What was the point in your "campaign" when you're not even going to stand by your own convictions when it comes to actually standing up for your opinion? Not buying a £42 shirt is not going to damage the club when it will be bringing in more than £60m in broadcast and prize money next season, along with around £15m in gate receipts.
-
So this is what the new home shirt will look like... What do you think? Do you like it? If not, will you still buy it anyway?
-
That was strange, when I first read the OP at the weekend, you were still showing as a Full Member. Fixed now.

Should be fixed

Just updated Tapatalk, would be grateful if those who use it could report any issues.
-
That doesn't give me CSVs though, only iCal files. Basically I just want a CSV file which has three columns: date, home team, away team. Should be fairly simple, but apparently not
-
Anyone know of any sites that have CSV files for all four divisions?
-
Yes, but the ECB likes Lancashire so nothing will happen.

It's more Latvia 2004/Trinidad & Tobago 2006, IMO.

I don't really see any value in user reputation scores or anything like that - they're far too easy to manipulate (and, yes, people are sad enough to want to do so) and even if someone's got a high reputation there's always the chance that they'll say something absolutely bat**** mental, and vice versa.
-
Perception of a group of people is always based on the extremities, so despite the fact there are clearly many people who post (or just lurk) whose views are moderate and very sensible (and, realistically, they are the majority), the perception of "internet forum users" will always be that of the utter mentalist. That's life.

FA Cup reinstated as the final game of the season
stevegrant replied to Colinjb's topic in The Saints
I'm sure it wasn't done deliberately. -
First 10 games, with corresponding scores from last season: West Brom (A) - L 0-2 Sunderland (H) - L 0-1 Norwich (A) - D 0-0 West Ham (H) - D 1-1 Liverpool (A) - L 0-1 Crystal Palace (H) - (as lowest-placed promoted team, swap for bottom PL team, QPR) L 1-2 Swansea (H) - D 1-1 Man United (A) - L 1-2 Fulham (H) - D 2-2 Stoke (A) - D 3-3 P10 W0 D5 L5. Not great, to say the least.

Some brighter news for everyone, Chris Adams has been sacked by Surrey Who would have thought that putting together the Dad's Army of county cricket on the biggest budget imaginable wouldn't end particularly well?
-
I'm going to try turning off the Facebook integration across the whole site for a week to see if that improves matters.
-
Well spotted, thanks for the testing/research I genuinely have no idea how many people actually use the Facebook integration stuff, I reckon I could get rid of it and possibly stick an AddThis toolbar to the thread pages to keep some sort of social bookmarking functionality. Any thoughts?
