  1. It's quite scary to think that it's now 10 years since I got an A in GCSE Maths, and 8 years since getting an A-Level in Accounting. I feel very old all of a sudden
  2. I'm led to believe the full settlement was somewhere in the region of £14m. HMRC were owed about £100k, which I presume was settled in full. An offer was made to Aviva on the mortgage (likely to be about £12.5m or so), leaving Barclays with the rest. Aviva were always very supportive of the club and we never had a problem with them. Barclays, on the other hand, can go **** themselves.
  3. Only 25/1, amazingly. Still longer odds than Oscar Gobern, though

  5. It was widely reported that that was the case. It was also suggested that it was highly unusual that a company would be as heavily involved as to produce a statement of affairs and then *not* be the appointed administrator.
  6. Only drifted to 12/1 overall, although that's come in since last week after the Swindon game where I think we'd gone to 20/1
  7. Also worth bearing in mind that Norwich still haven't agreed a compensation package with Colchester from when they nicked Paul Lambert and his backroom staff - that'll likely cost them £500k+
  8. Lambert cost an initial £800k. No they didn't. They had a squad of players who would have stayed up last season comfortably with a non-useless manager. A downward spiral for a whole 3 games. 11 "average" players that would get in nearly every team in this league and many teams in the Championship.
  9. Shouldn't be any, unless you've logged out.
  10. That'll do nicely. Wish I'd gone now...
  11. Woy :prayer: Absolutely gutted I missed that game
  12. They're already there, if you open the XML feed in your browser, there should be a link to download the file directly off the server.
  13. Part 1 of the latest podcast is now available to download. This week, Rob Chandler and I look back at a mixed bag of results and performances, and preview our trip to Wembley. Unfortunately due to a combination of time constraints, producers going on holiday and Rob and I managing to record more than an hour's material, we've had to split this one up into two 30-minute segments. The first is available now, the second (and the full combined version) will be available early next week. You'll probably notice the not-very-subtle edit point! To subscribe via iTunes, click "Advanced" and then "Subscribe to Podcast", and enter the following URL: http://www.saintsweb.co.uk/podcasts/podcast.xml You can also subscribe via RSS at the same URL. If you've got a relatively recent web browser, from the main SaintsWeb home page, you can simply click on the RSS icon at the top of your browser. Feedback is obviously welcomed, either here or via email to podcast@saintsweb.co.uk
  14. Where are the facts to back up that statement? Even allowing for inflation, when I passed my test in 2000, the price of a litre of unleaded petrol was about 75p. I paid 117p on Saturday. That's a 56% increase...
  15. Did you call in Trading Standards? If that allegation were true, it would be illegal practice on ASDA's part...
  16. Did it used to have monkey chickens?
  17. Factually inaccurate as well, as it was his 3rd goal. For some bizarre reason, the Press Association credited the injury-time equaliser in the Norwich JPT game to Harding, even though it was Papa Waigo who scored it... easily confused, those two!
  18. Strange timing, thought they played well on Saturday against Arsenal. No end-of-season karaoke now
