  1. I was under the impression that you would have set up your website so that people could see it, Will, not hide it away from people? How do you expect to generate any sort of interest?
  2. Not a clue, to be honest. I would imagine it's written into their contract that they will generally be paid on X day, but that the club has until Y before the contract has been breached.
  3. As yet, they haven't failed to pay their players. They were late paying them September's wages and they will presumably be late paying them November's wages. It's only once they actually fail to pay them at all that they are then in breach of contract with the players. The Luton 10-point deduction was for irregular payments to agents - all payments must go through the football club so they can be properly accounted for by the FA, but their former directors made some payments through the holding company. The remaining 20 points was because they failed to exit administration with an accepted CVA - for the third time. Leeds had a 15-point deduction as it was the first time, and Bournemouth and Rotherham both had 17-point deductions as it was the second time they'd done it. Edit to add: Luton's 10-point deduction was imposed by the Football Association, the 20-point deduction by the Football League under their own respective rules.
  4. The fact that they're not in administration yet would probably be your answer, Daren. Until such time, they won't get any sanctions.
  5. Painful viewing, but a clean sheet and out of the bottom 4, so really can't complain too much. Can't help but feel that semi-competent opposition would have beaten us tonight, though.
  6. I think we can safely say the bar at the bowling alley won't be rated among the best...
  7. *adds it to the list of things to do*
  8. It's not particularly intuitive, but to get your own reserved season ticket seat, you need to go to "My Account" and then on the left there's an option for "Cup Matches and Season Renewals". In there, select "JPT Semi-Final" and then "Add to Order".
  9. Stats can always be twisted to suit whatever argument you want to make. For example, if we say that the first month of the season was effectively our pre-season under Pardew as he was still sussing out who he wanted to keep and who he didn't during those 5 games, and take the results from September onwards, we've collected 23 points, which is the 4th-best return during that period.
  10. Strange one really, as he's on a season-long loan I presumed that there's automatically no recall clause in the deal. Hardly a glowing endorsement for Tommy Forecast if we're looking to recall Poke to sit on the bench!
  11. Just like people shouldn't be getting their "facts" from a fictional computer game, you mean?
  12. Unfortunately most of the time he wanted (demanded) the ball from team-mates, he was stood in the centre circle while they were 40 yards further forward.
  13. Disruptive influence, not needed. He was told by West Ham to stay away from the club altogether, not even to train with the youth team!
  14. MOTD and MOTD2 are only shown live on iPlayer, I don't think they have the rights to show it in playback mode.
  15. Nope, that won't be changing.
  16. Except against us, tbf...
  17. Will probably need a little bit more info, to be fair! Something along the lines of: SELECT t1.col_1, t1.col_2, SUM(t2.col_3) FROM tab_1 t1, tab_2 t2, tab_3 t3 WHERE t1.col_1 = t2.col_1 AND t2.col_1 = t3.col_1 (+) ORDER BY t1.col_1 NULLS LAST; The (+) command allows null results to be returned in the table join between t2 and t3 in that example.
  18. Do they still have planning permission based on the original plans or did that expire? If the latter, they'll need to reapply for PP, which clearly won't be ready for a March start
  19. Essentially there's a big new release of vBulletin, which also bundles in a blog and content management system together. This will allow us to completely integrate the main site with the forum, which will also get a bit of a makeover
  20. None of the contributors have said they don't want to carry them on, so could just be a case of not having a lot to say right now. We will be looking to expand the column/blog section, but we'll probably wait until the new year as there's a major forum/main site software upgrade in the pipeline.
  21. If you weren't sure, would it not have perhaps been a better idea to ask before spamming the forum?
  22. Also, how likely is it that the BBC or Channel 4 (the two most likely bidders, I'd have thought) will be able to dedicate 25 full days worth of programming to it without shunting bits of it across to other channels? In 2005, we constantly missed bits when C4 cut away to show horse-racing, and they even had a day's play on Film4 if I remember rightly. BBC's content would end up on BBC3, and Five's signal is so weak that fewer people would be able to watch it there than on Sky! It was a good series, but certainly not a great series. In 2005, England were at the absolute peak of their game and Australia weren't far short. Both teams were considerably weaker this time around which meant the quality was in much shorter supply, and which is why we were able to win pretty much due to a handful of very good sessions despite overall dominance from the Aussies. It didn't have the same sort of impact because we'd seen us win the Ashes in 2005. Back then it was a new experience for a hell of a lot of people.
  23. Interestingly, I also thought Lallana was offside when he received the ball from Papa Waigo and laid it off to Lambert to make it 2-0. Will be interesting to see if there's a replay from the right angle to prove/disprove that when I watch the re-run when I get home tonight.
  24. The breakfast ones are crap, tbf. Chicken and bacon ranch wins.
  25. There's a full re-run on Sky Sports 3 at 1.30pm. I've just sent a Remote Record request for it
