Ryanair Chase: Voy Por Ustedes looks a reasonable ew bet at 16/1 ( Ladbrokes, PP and Stan James)

Good ATR preview of Champion Hurdle, you need to log in/register to view but it is worth registering on ATR anyway as you can view 100's of archived races and they'll always have a free tipping challenge for Cheltenham and all the big meetings, prize is generally a £500 free bet if memory serves. http://www.attheraces.com/VideoConsole/?xtra=chelt10_part3&preview=yes&brand=CHE

Not but if you place any onus on stats the bad news is only four of the last 26 Champion Hurdle winners were beaten on their last start.

That's a few million in the Norwich coffers then should help in the CCC next year!

In that case apologies but your reputation proceeded you !!

I swear world cup songs are getting worse
chrisobee replied to Saint_clark's topic in General Sports
So many ways to murder a great song and football and it's fans know them all ! This is NOT recommended viewing... Edit : No 7 is definitely the worst version of that song ever !! -
I think that is about as funny as Saint Stevo gets TBH !

Ahem, "friendly" and "mods" are mutually exclusive

Leeds and Newcastle I suspect would do so, a Leeds v Saints final would have been interesting and almost certainly stopped any debate about unsold tickets! WBA maybe but other than just possibly Notts Forest, Swansea and Sheff Utd in the CCC and Norwich in League 1 I would say that is it. Even in the PL I suspect the likes of Hull, Wigan, Burnley or Bolton would struggle to sell 44,000 + for the FA Cup final !

There are plenty of chess sites to play and download for free, I use various ones. For games and downloads: http://www.chess.com/ Just for games : http://gameknot.com/play-chess.pl?u=chrisobee&rnd=47373 For downloads ( amongst others) : http://www.shredderchess.com/download.html The Shredder chess programme is very strong though not quite as well known as the more popular Fritz programmes.

Surely it was 2-0, 2 for Lee Barnard !

Personally I can't stand it either ( sorry scott Saints but I missed your earlier reference!) , the people getting angry. Damn this Rat Race !! As Pearl said whilst serving in her cafe " It's all a load of ******** and ******** to it all ! " Very thoughtful of you to start a Specials thread, not had one for a while !!
-
That is true but how much quicker and enjoyable it is to read a thread and know that you'll only see "snippets" of the posts of those you wish to ignore!

How fickle, I think it's a given he had more than a moment or two of glory during his 11-12 years of managing us, 1974-1985 was easily the best spell this club has ever had.

Never mind injections, just look out for the snakes!

Excellent coverage on CH4 as well. Morning Line every day at 8.25am, live coverage starts at 12.30pm until 4.15pm ( unfortunately Deal or No Deal is then on ) and highlights just after midnight. Should mean they cover 5 races every day and only miss 1 on Tues and Thurs and 2 on Weds and Friday. RUK is too expensive these days, for me at least though you can view replays online for free as indeed you can on ATR so cannot complain about the coverage.

Think at 1/14 it would have been the height of insanity to back him so I hope luck didn't really come into it !

An interesting read: http://www.geegeez.co.uk/4047/cheltenham-festival-handicap-chase-trends/

Wogan was such a strong bet on it's own you should have backed it as a single as well or instead !
-
No, it would be about 42/1 now give or take but I'm sure you'll just be happy if they both win !
-
Indee we should try and organise some kind of Saints Web tourney, over to you

In terms of County Chess I only play Correspondence for Herts but using email makes it very easy. We are hoping and in with a good chance of winning the County & District Correspondence Chess Championship for the 1st time ever ! The mighty ( and much larger )Yorkshire seem to be our main rivals. OTB I play 4/5 tournaments a year ( slow play) and try to fit in a number of rapidplays as well which are just one day of fun and mayhem. Living close to London makes it pretty ideal. I used to play club chess regularly for my old employer the good old DHSS but £7-8 to travel into London just for one game and invariably arriving home very late means I only play 2/3 times a season and then primarily as a way to catch up with very old friends ( 1st started playing for DHSS back in 1983 before all the various departments split).

Both batting practice ( Bresnan is in at 4 with England 125/2) and the hope of a result I guess ? Bit of a farce though it has to be said.

Good signing, I'm just hoping now we do get the quality spinner that has been on ther cards since it was announced that Mendes was not going to sign. He did lose form a few months ago whilst playing for Sri Lanka so that news was not so surprising nor disapppointing and as mentioned we do have Dawson and Briggs. A bowling attack of Kabir Ali, Dimi, Jones ( if fit!), Ervine ( in short bursts only please ! ) Dawson/Briggs and a quality spinner would be very useful indeed with Tomlinson, Griffiths and Riazuddin as back up. Have I missed anyone ? Edit: Oh my lord, how could I forget Corky !
