Much as I despise the BNP for what it stands for, I think the BBC have got a point. I really hope the show doesn't descend into a slanging match. However I do think that some serious questions need to be put to him on various topics so that we can see that there is no depth their party policies. However as Bungle mentioned hopefully people will keep questioning on how the would do things rather than accept the simple answers.

I've read a little on McAfee and quite a few people have said it slows things down compared to other software. Shall stick with it for the time being. Think I will go with AVG when I get the desktop.

I've just bought a new laptop and it has come with McAfee anti-virus Center free for a year. Now should I uninstall it and get AVG instead? Or keep with it until the subscription runs out and then switch over to AVG?

The US Office grew on me. I think that has more watchability than the original.

Yep I agree with the comment about buying from John Lewis. Good service from them in the past. On another note I bought a MESH PC back in Jan 2001 and its only now got knackered, drives are still working so can transfer my stuff across but the RAM went. That machine was built to last and it did - a full 8 years!

I think for once we're actually signing players that want to play for the club now and do well rather than coming along and playing as its a job. Hopefully Pardew will get who he needs and we bring a bit of togetherness to the squad! Come on Lambert!

Fair enough. I just think if the manager says play-offs your not going to be as motivated as to actually get automatic promotion. To me it just seemed like Burley was setting a lower target therefore if we had gained 1st/2nd place he could have brought out the line, "Its more than we expected." Set the target high is what I want. Whether its realistic or not is another thing and I guess we'll find over the next season.

No need to impart your views on me like that - if you didn't think we could have been promoted thats your take. I was being realistic IMO. Number of decent signings, manager who had a record of building decent passing sides. Did well with Ipswich. Number of decent young players coming through. BUT as I pointed out Burley aimed low for the play-offs which most likely impacted on the players. Also Burley made some strange team decisions towards the end of that season.

Spot on. I never understood why Burley kept insisting his aim were the play-offs instead of automatic promotion.

Alan Pardew isn't the worst choice we could have had by miles but I guess most of us were hoping for WGS/Coppell. Personally I would have liked the Poyet/Wise combo. But I have to say it will be interesting to see what he makes of the team. As others have said - Saints with a billionaire owner, debt free and a British manager. What more could you ask for? Except for not being in L1 and -10pt deduction!

I'm sure many didnt want to bother with a Board that has/had people continually sniping at one another. I stopped bothering with the Saints booard as it was the same old threads over and over and over again!

Old thread I know. But have been out there now and can say the whole weekend was brilliant. Stayed mainly in Old Town but it was quite modern and people were decent enough. Surprised at how few stag/hen groups there were there but fun was had all round. I cried when I got back to Gatwick.

Why is everyone fixated on pace in the PL? There's plenty of players there who arent that good at running.

I said it on friday and I'll say it again - I dont think anything will be resolved today. This is only due to it being the typical Saints thing and life is never so straight forward with us.
