Saints 3-0 Tranmere Rovers: Post Match Reaction
Johnny Shearer replied to St Landrew's topic in The Saints
Went to the game and got superb seats in block 37, row EE in the Kingsland/Northam corner. Most panoramic view in the place in my opinion. First half was poor but not the worst I have seen this season especially in or first few games. Tranmere came down and knew how to slow the game down and mark Lambert quite close. Also Saints were not their usual selves. Some slack passing and people slipping up on both sides early on. However there was nothing to suggest that Tranmere would be able to keep us out for the whole game. Second half was a lot better. Saints moved up a gear or two after the first goal and walloped Tranmere in a twenty minute spell which won us the game. Passing, directness and tempo all improved. -
Super Mario kart is out now on the VC in Japan and the US but not here! Bar stewards and I dont believe Nintendo have bothered with an online mode either. :-(

He could have just left it at six ho's and eighteen holes but I think he's gone on tour!

I caught the second half of this. I knew the moment that they started on the resource tracker that the Americans would come out on top with us not so far behind. Interesting stuff to contemplate and worry about.

Is not crap. Good show actually. The Wire.

I went there - went downhill after 1998. However I taught all my friends all the punajbi swear words I knew, so they knew what to listen out for! Ah you could always start a fight by shouting 'Your mum' at someone guaranteed.

I watched it on Five on sunday and sadly it doesn't hold the magic anymore for me. However something like the Flight of the Navigator does. Hopefully there'll be some decent old films on over the Xmas and NY.
-
Hopefully they'll get through - thats a game I wouldn't mind seeing. Plus after the crazy way the FL penalised them they need the boost.
-
Bah I'm not too bothered what they think. All I'm concerned about is the club and how well the team is doing and will be happy to watch a few games a season when I can. Plenty more like me out there!

Disaster Movie Yes I know very poor but I needed to laugh at something however this isnt bad good. Just bad, not funny in the slightest. Dont ever watch it. Inglorious Basterds Good but was expecting more from this. Expected something with a bit more pace and explosiveness. Maybe it'll be better second time round I watch it. The Last Starfighter Hadn't seen this in years and it has aged terribly.

Agreed. I'd class myself as a fair weather fan. Follow the results, news etc but attend only a few games. Whats so wrong with that?

Is there an online link?

I would rather have Orient win over Swindon. As Swindon will be around the play-offs come the end of the season. But other than that - get in Saints!
-
Not saying that we wont go through but if the turgid relaxed England team turns up then we could be on the way in a much more difficult part of the draw after the group stages. Hopefully with Capello that sort of thing will be firmly stamped out by the time the cup comes round.
-
I don't think England's group is that easy. USA are a motivated side and Slovenia did beat Russia in the play-offs. Spain and Italy have got easier groups I reckon.
-
Its too easy though to focus on one person for the cause of all our problems.

The thing is the Club is a topic that few would remain balanced about considering what has happened over the last few years.

Time for a little caption competition

Reeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy!!!!!!!!!!!! -
Really? I wouldn't say ever.

Hey what? This topic again but in a slightly varied form. You could look at it in a real perverse manner and say that Lowe actually helped us a bit. Follow the logic: Lowe brings us into administration. We're done for. Out come all the bids. We end up with a smart CEO/CM and a billionaire owner. And a decent manager - with the exception of his time at Charlton. So Lowe is my hero.
-
Seriously though I think its a serious problem. No that we've got a clean sheat I don't think we score enough..................
-
To be fair Waigo does offer the side a something little different. Think he'll come good soon.
-
Does the poll state the number of people taking it? Could be just 15 people taking it with 8 saying yes.

Thats the thing I never saw the book as being true to life - just a fictional re-telling. Although maybe its because I did read all the hoo-haa going about it at the time as the Clough family didn't want people to get the wrong idea and think all of it was true. Still a good book though.
