Unfortunately the supporter has died.

No side has yet lost a day night test having scored 300+ in the first innings.

This explains a lot about what is going on in here. Hugo Mercier and Dan Sperber are two evolutionary psychologists who proposed that humans have evolved to prioritize winning arguments over seeking truth. Their "argumentative theory of reasoning," outlined in works like The Enigma of Reason (2017 French edition), posits that human reasoning developed primarily for social persuasion and debate, not solitary truth-finding. This explains why reasoning often falters individually but improves in group discussions, as evolution favored skills that helped convince others in collaborative ancestral environments. Their theory has gained traction in discussions of why people cling to flawed beliefs during arguments.

What a boring second half.

A win today.
-
I'll take the win.

Dawson and Baker both awarded ECB one year central contracts. I suppose that means we won't be seeing much of them are Hants next year. Jack has a development contract.
-
Brad Wheal has a 1 year contract extension.

Absolutely no evidence of arson at the moment.

Is that racist as in someone who loves car races or the other type?

Kyle Abbott named County Championship MVP. Well deserved.
-
Will Neal get a contract? I think he was in the squad for the last two games.

The Comoros Islands were able to send a rider to compete in the UCI Women's World Championship road race because the UCI allows all nations to participate based on international ranking and quota regulations; smaller nations like Comoros may send at least one representative even with a modest cycling program. In contrast, the UK actually qualified a full six-rider team for the elite women’s road race but chose not to send anyone. Instead, British Cycling decided to focus entirely on the separate under-23 women's road race event, which is new this year and no longer embedded within the elite event. As a result, no British women are competing in the elite road race for the first time in over thirty years, despite their eligibility Thank you AI.

An improvement.

Ben Brown will have to redo his post match interview.

Are you going to be posting screenshots every 5 minutes for the next 4 days? (Just so I know where to get up to date scores.)
-
Looking like a points deduction wicket. (Rob White who is officiating today was at Hants two previous points deduction matches.)
-
The women have lost their final. Just need Hants relegation for a full house.
-
Make your mind up!

Not too sure about your source for weather forecasts!

A bit optimistic for the Hants game. Can't see them avoiding the follow on and Taunton seems to be avoiding the rain. Birrell sounded pretty pessimistic in his end of day interview yesterday. Birrell was saying Leach turns the ball the opposite way to the Hants bowlers ( which would be better)and the pitch was becoming more and more favourable to turn . He regretted not playing another spinner.

Now Switch over to the women. Already 1 -0 up.
