Actually Saints have played 19 and some others have played 18. For example Crystal Palace have played 18 and have 3 more points than Saints. And there are only 22 matches in the season.
Southampton women's are also still in the competition having beaten Brentford. However they are a round behind due to postponements. Their future opponents are Maidenhead and then Watford.
Southampton are the only town with two clubs left in the competition!
Fixtures have been announced. Looks like a tricky start playing Surrey and Durham twice and Warks and Lancs. Depends on how strong Durham are likely to be. Anyone know?
If Essex are desperate for a win they may declare setting a gettable target so Hants go after it, hopefully (from Essex pov) getting out in the process. So a win is not impossible for Hants.
