  1. It was an own goal. Forecast can do that for us.
  2. He looks quite happy in his Saints Player interview. I like him already.
  3. Stop being lazy and just walk...
  4. My understanding is that the biomass will be sourced locally where possible, but mainly from ships (i.e. causing a slight increase in traffic), although it will primarily come from abroad (I've heard Canada/Brazil/Norway). The second plans are better than the first, but they appear quite superficial changes, and getting people to vote on which design they prefer probably isn't what the locals want. From what I've heard, the locals have other genuine concerns around the proposals besides visual impact - whether that's to disguise NIMBY attitudes or not, I don't know. Even if they are NIMBYs though, I don't think that should discredit their opinions entirely - surely the fact that quite a few houses could significantly decrease in value as a direct result of the plant etc., should be a serious consideration? Maybe campaigners don't help themselves by exaggerating their environmental/health concerns, but I believe that they are grounded in genuine concerns and should perhaps have more say in the process, no? That's not a criticism of Helius per se, more at the way development processes in the country work. What do you actually do TopGun? Do you work for a developer or are you an environmental consultant or something?
  5. Coventry would be my guess.
  6. That's good. I've got a better one though. Go onto Google translate. Type in 'dune' And translate from English to Danish.
  7. Where do you think is out of the way? It's pretty much always going to be close to someone. Would you prefer if it was bang in the middle of the New Forest or something instead? I agree about the need for more sources of energy, but in the long run, an increased reliance on Biomass simply cannot work.
  8. I'm willing to bet a significant sum of money, that it won't even reach general sale. Which is a bugger considering I'm living about a 2 minute walk from the Etihad at the moment...
  9. This is, without doubt, my favourite Cortesse [sic] thread ever. Can I just clarify though, what do you mean by box? Do you mean like a lunchbox - the knd they sell in the mega-store with the Saints logo on? (When I was at school I had one with Thunderbird 2 on it). So he just wanted a different lunchbox for a different view? Or a proper meal, on a plate, eaten in an executive box in the stadium, which he then moved to? How fresh did he want his food? Does it really go off in the 2 minutes it takes to move? Or had it gone cold or something - in which case he could, quite fairly, have just asked to stick it in the microwave for 20 seconds. What was on the menu? It just seems like you've purposely omitted important facts on this story. I need to know everything before I can make my mind up.
  10. Ha, I've just gone and had a look at this. I've known he isn't the worlds most gifted goalkeeper, but when people has slated him on a personal level I've always given him the benefit of the doubt seeing as I've never met him. But looking at the photos he does seem like a bit of a douche with too much money. He (along with his good mate Darren Kenton) appear to be good, hard working professional sportsmen, drinking a lot of alcohol and smoking shisha (Alpine is probably going ****ing mental about now) and cigars. Oh and posing in Ferraries. Although to be fair to him, he's probably just enjoying the luxury lifestyle while he can.
  11. Looks like it's going to be pretty big. Anyone here going to be living close to it? Thoughts? Good or a bad thing? Links for if you don't know anything about it... http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-hampshire-17955109 http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-hampshire-17992480 Will you vote on it? Or is there any point? http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-hampshire-18783814
  12. I thought we were getting new HD LCD big screens or something? That looks like it's always been...
  13. FFS. He's was good for us! Read the OP! Unless you're being nasty and think Surman had no impact on Saints? Is that what you think? He's a Saints fan through and through and did all he could to stay with us in the tough times. I think he'll definitely be back one day though. A bit like Jack Cork he has had to go away for a little while while he was quite young to concentrate on his career away from all the non-footballing distractions. When the time is right, he'll return in a blaze of glory and be better than ever before, making all the Norweigians/Fatsos/teachers/boilermen/students/dads (etc. etc.) in the crowd happy again. Obviously Cork probably still always kept an eye on Saints from a distance, and probably still occasionally read SWF, but had to step away from the actual club for a while in order to become the great young player he is today. Actually, having written all that, I don't think Andrew Surman will ever return actually.
  14. ...during "the wilderness years". Not people, like Jermaine Wright, BWP or Sagonowski who were made scapegoats for everything. Just players who most other Saints fans don't even remember, but for no reason at all, you quite liked. For me it's either Neil Trotman or Romain Gasmi.
  15. They already are by about 10 points.
  16. Swansea. Ordered my tickets over the phone, and arranged to collect them on the day from the stadium (booked them at quite short notice). Arrived at the ground about 40 minutes before kick-off, but was locked away from Saints fans by the cage around the away end. I was told I could only get in if I showed them my ticket - but obviously couldn't because I was supposed to be picking it up from the turnstiles. After about 20 minutes of squabbling with a steward/policeman they finally decided to let me in- although it still took them about 15 more minutes to actually fnid my ticket once I got to the turnstile (I'm pretty certain it was a problem on Swansea's part, not Saints ticket office). Despite being in fairly good numbers, Saints fans were the quietest I've ever seen them and on the pitch it ws one of the worst performances I've ever witnessed - Swansea fans were "Ole-ing" every pass from about the 10th minute onwards. Was a shame, because I've been to quite a few Swansea games at the Liberty and it's normally a really good atmosphere there. Was also at the Sheffield Wednesday game too. That was pretty bad, but at least the fans were able to laugh about it in the stands. Swansea, everyone was simply miserable throughout. Considering I've only been to about 10 away games in my lifetime, I've picked some shockers.
  17. Which posters are you talking about? Why don't you just get them to bugger off by banning them, and leave us cool kids to make it good again (with editable posts). And maybe re-instate Deppo while you're at it? He's served his time.
  18. This is great news. Hope fully he'll be able to concentrate on establishing his glittering television career instead now.
  19. Lived there for about 10 years in the 60's. Nice place, very tranquil. I highly reccomend it.
  20. I imagine the seats in Messi's car are pretty small. Maybe with a cushion on to help him see over the steering wheel.
  21. This is probably the guy I saw buying a KitKat Chunky in the Co-Op in Marchwood the other day.
  22. Today, Alpen Saint is: Edit: Raving would be more appropriarte for this thread actually Edit II: Only joking. I love you Alps. Edit III: Not in a gay way

  24. She didn't specify which Olympics to be fair. BTF, whatever you do, DO NOT give the money to chairty. You could still get out of having to do that yet!
