Well done Barry, in excess of six thousand opinionated posts in just over a year, and most of them overblown or melodramatic. You do Guly a disservice - he has been a great contributor at L1 and Championship level and shown great skill along the way. He has also covered a range of positions and roles outside of striker when needed - many of his sub appearances at Prem level have been significant. Guly is certainly not crap and deserves respect for his contributions in what will be his last season for Saints.

In Oz there's a replay on ESPN....probably of no use to UK folk.

I needed that laugh...thanks sussex.

His point is, to dangle a (seemingly) complimentary remark or two about GDP and then follow it up with the derogatory, put down stuff about he's been peddling for years.
-
He is a good footballer in the making, no doubt. Thought his game on Saturday was very average, but you can see the versatility to play in midfield or even at CB one day; I think he may go further in the game than JWP. Like to see Clyne at RB against Arsenal

Post Match Reaction: Sunderland 2-2 SAINTS

Shocking foul on Ramirez - best of luck to he and DJ but neither injury looks good. Surprised that Lambert and Chambers were not subbed today; we were certainly holding on in the end. -
He was dreadfully slow and ineffective. Has to be Osvaldo next week.
-
One goal margin flattering to the Mackems - how good have our midfield been? Would consider Clyne on for Chambers.

Talking about Nigel; looks like Mr Pearson will be back at St Marys next season.
-
Yes, he will. It feels like a 50/50 call whether he will stay.
-
Deflating story, and it's hard to see NC staying this time and thus MP gone as well. With the Liebherr family not interested in Football and having honoured the five year plan it certainly looks like an upheaval.

Saints only team to take points off Man City in their last ten games

Don't forget Jos at CB. It was a remarkable draw in the end. -
Watch the replay of the Cardiff game and remind yourself Yoshida is a very good CB. I hope he stays - was excellent in 2012/2013 too.

It's not Mo Po, Gladys Go.....don't respond to this clown, even though I have.

Watching that clip reminds me of how good Boruc is, and how many on target shots he has snuffed out.

I was surprised when KD was given a new contract - it seemed to be about loyalty rather than ability and performance.
-
I would be sad to see him go. I know he had a delayed start this season due to Fed. Cup but his few opportunities after a very good 12/13 season have been baffling.
-
We don,t have the players on the park at the moment to be top eight. Just outclassed today.
-
Great clip. Happy birthdat GDP; you have been an important part of the Club's rise to the EPL.

Derry - having watched the full game twice on TV, live and in replay I would hold JWP primarily responsible for both goals with Luke sharing a little of the blame for the first. While Davis' role was more difficult once Cork was replaced he tracked back several times including a block on Lukaku where he covered for both JWP and Luke. I feel JWP should be making way for Morgan, not SD.
-
Yes, but couldn't you be a slightly less read nobody.

Shaw is outstanding and is headed for the top. Go back to the Cardiff game and you will see several assists when he has got in behind the defence and provided opportunities not taken. The young player I fear may not kick on as expected is JWP. I am still not sure what his right position is; if it's attacking midfield then there is little evidence of forward thrust or many incisive passes. If it's DM then robustness and tackling are not great. I see parallels with Simon Gillett and even Surman.....never quite delivering on promise. Would like to see more of Reed to compare the two.

There would not be many Prem teams turning away Jack Cork. Has hit a couple of impressive long range shots at goal lately too....surely he has impressed MP over the past month or so.
