No, I'll stand by my observation on the second goal not being Boruc's fault - it was a hard, well hit, low corner that Crouch stooped to make contact with fractionally ahead of AB.....Fonte should have marked Crouch more closely.
-
Great keeper and not at fault for either goal yesterday. The Arsenal fiasco is the only major blemish for AB this season and I doubt he will ever try that tactic again. If there was a goalkeeping stuff up yesterday it was Begovic failing to clear Davis' cross.
-
Enjoyed it - Stoke very tight at the back in the 2nd half. Davis and Yoshida best for us. Didn't think Boruc was at fault for Crouchs' goal.

What about the other Nigel?

Glasgow, there has to be a category in the DSM1V {Manual of Psychiatric Disorders} to describe you - you may yet get the help you need.
-
Yes, when can/should the Club be offering a new contract to MP? Surely sooner than later.
-
Three ex Saints Managers if you're right.
-
Sums it up really - hard to think of him as anything other than a talented tosser.
-
I think Clyne should start irrespective of CC's injury - Callum a little off the pace today and no coincidence we scored three times following Clyne's arrival. Surely now most posters will agree that Yoshida is very good cover for Dejan and Corky must play a continuing role given his form.
-
Top shelf. Imagine how MP would have gone without the skiing gear on.

Fair enough; although I'd argue that Fox was good enough at Championship level defensively and at least the equal of Harding in that department but far superior in an attacking role and dead ball delivery. I'm afraid I could never get over Harding's weak concession of a corner against Pompey whn under no pressure which led to their late goal. As you say neither are/were of Prem level.
-
Yes, a plus one for your post Duck. Many though seemed to argue that Harding was the better player which always astounded me. While Fox was found out at Prem level he was great for us in the Championship. His touch and wicked left foot should provide Forest with plenty of opportunities. Seems like a good lad too; go well Danny.

Most people who saw the Office would probably opt to be more like Tim than the others - grounded, humble, witty - laid by the busty blonde from the other regional office and ending up with Dawn as his permanent squeeze. Glasgow, most of your posts remind me of David Brent. You know, he rolled a six every time didn't he.

Watch the game again - Yoshida had a good match and will improve with more game time.
-
I add my vote to this post - Morgan is a special player and last night was one of his trademark games - like a good film or book, you really have to watch a reply several times to appreciate the class.

Nice dilemma to have, Chambers and Clyne. I prefer to see Clyne playing with his extra speed and get forward play - at this stage I trust him more defensively too. But what a good athlete young Chambers is! And he has a good attitude with the right amount of confidence. I really think he is going to go further in the game than JWP; I just hope that he and Clyne can get sufficient playing time to remain content as it certainly seems MP has a slight preference for CC as thing stand.

Sensational game to watch - only that short spell of Arsenal quality prevented a famous win. Have you ever witnessed such a commanding midfield performance? Morgan and Corky outstanding and Davis once again underlined his quiet efficiency. Surely Lallana is on the plane to Brazil and I wouldn't be surprised if there was a spot for Luke Shaw after another sparkling display. IT was such a feel good night for the Club; Jose's goal; Katharina's attendance, young Sam's first league start; so many Academy players featuring. A special word for Maya too; he did well tonight despite a couple of mistimed passes - his anticipation and speed cut off several dangerous balls to Giroud and co. I'd be happy to see him continue to fill in for Lovren as I'm sure he will improve with game time. If there's only going to be one in during the window I hope it's a striker because the CB strengthening can wait until the summer.

Well done Barry, in excess of six thousand opinionated posts in just over a year, and most of them overblown or melodramatic. You do Guly a disservice - he has been a great contributor at L1 and Championship level and shown great skill along the way. He has also covered a range of positions and roles outside of striker when needed - many of his sub appearances at Prem level have been significant. Guly is certainly not crap and deserves respect for his contributions in what will be his last season for Saints.

In Oz there's a replay on ESPN....probably of no use to UK folk.

I needed that laugh...thanks sussex.

His point is, to dangle a (seemingly) complimentary remark or two about GDP and then follow it up with the derogatory, put down stuff about he's been peddling for years.
-
He is a good footballer in the making, no doubt. Thought his game on Saturday was very average, but you can see the versatility to play in midfield or even at CB one day; I think he may go further in the game than JWP. Like to see Clyne at RB against Arsenal

Post Match Reaction: Sunderland 2-2 SAINTS

Shocking foul on Ramirez - best of luck to he and DJ but neither injury looks good. Surprised that Lambert and Chambers were not subbed today; we were certainly holding on in the end. -
He was dreadfully slow and ineffective. Has to be Osvaldo next week.
-
One goal margin flattering to the Mackems - how good have our midfield been? Would consider Clyne on for Chambers.
