Don't rate McGoldrick never did, not great but somehow managed to score a few goals and get a Million for him.
-
Have you seen him play?
-
Was an excellent player for us before but would only increase the squad numbers without improving our team now. Sure he will find at least a decent league 1 team, good luck to him.
-
Totally agree with this. We paid a decent fee for him (£2.5m??) but was never worth it. Really couldn't pass the ball very well and probably had 1 really good game against Liverpool at home in the relegration season. Can't believe the number of people who rated him, got stuck in but thats about it.
-
Get well soon Dan.
-
Have to agree he was awful at Brentford when he replaced the injured Guly. I don't think he was even on the brench at Plymouth the following game despite scoring (but that was about the only decent time he touched the ball and Lallana put it on a plate). He was ok, nothing special. Couldn't see him playing too much next season so hopefully the move will work out for him.

Got to agree with this, I think he was a brilliant signing on a free and was superb in helping us stay in the championship when we beat Sheff Utd. Never ever realised how good he was until he signed for us plus he was 35ish, would to have seen him play for us in his prime. He really can still do a really decent job for someone in this league (Probably a bottom half team), luckily we have a good selection of Centre halfs so there is no need for him now. Good Luck to him.

I can't see Hull being able to afford him. I have no doubt they will go down and probably be struggling for Money. Wasn't that one of the reasons for them changing Chairman around Christmas? They will likely be in financial trouble if they go down so £3m will be out of their price range.
-
Yeah totally agree with that team, best we've got.
-
I totally agree with this, PFC will be the first massive club to go bust. No one in the right mind will buy them, they will probably reform but will have to start from the bottom. I hope Storrie, Redknapp and Alexandre Gaydamak think the FA Cup was worth it. There are massive between what happened us and them now, and that is we would have been fine in the premier league and even in the Championship if we hadn't had wasted big money gambling on promotion on transfers and wages. This was money we never had. Our Debt was minimal and only due to an Overdraft which couldn't be decreased quick enough. The Mortgage was covered against the Stadium. Portsmouth have the biggest turnover they can generate through Sky and the players they sold. They paid too much in wages and Transfer Fees and will now pay the price, their future income was gambled on this as well. They are taking loans to pay wages and the debts are just getting bigger and bigger!

I've seen Forecast play quite a few times in pre-season friendlies and must say Give it to Ron is right he is absolutely shocking, same as Pulis. These two are both the most pointless signings ever (Not worst cause some have cost us more money), pointless because they will never be good enough.
-
Yeah I agree with this despite my last post, just think Perry is a better partner to Jaidi then Thomas is. Sadly I do think it is Perry's last season however if we could get another year out of him it would be fantastic.
-
Because Perry has so far been Jaidi best partner, and is probably our most solid defender. I've been to every game and he never lets us down. Should have watch Perry and Jaidi mark Beckford at Leeds, my Leeds friend commented on how brilliant these two still are. Why does Thomas get so highly rated for a centre half, sure he did well the other day against Luton but never played well at the start of the season. I'm not saying Thomas is a bad player cause I actually like him but just think Perry is better football and reads the game miles better than Thomas.
-
It's the premier leagues fault (And the clubs involved) as they accepted the sky deal and broke away from the Football League, Football is in a mess cause this and as a result large amounts of money are paid to players wages, transfers etc. They haven't helped with the Champions League, as the top clubs in europe earn loads from this but the main fault lies at the original first division clubs who voted to break away and form the premier league taking the sky rights.
-
Got to agree, don't think he is actually premiership quality, yes he will get goals in this league cause of his pace but his touch is poor, it will be interesting to see how he gets on in the Championship. Jaidi and Perry had him in their pocket the other week, spoke to a couple of Leeds fans who totally agree. The other thing is his attitude is poor. Leeds are no doubt going up so why would he come here anyway?
-
Got to admit I'd probably give Pardew 9 out of 10. Signings have been fantastic and am really impressed with the we play football at times. Taken the first 10 games to get it right but we had an imbalanced squad and no pre-season. I've been to every game and feel although we could do with one or two more players he has generally a very top side for this division, the only two sides I would say are marginally better than us are Norwich and Leeds. All his backroom staff are great signings and have been managers in their own rights. Wally Downes (Brentford), Stuart Murdock (Wimbledon before they became MK Dons) and Dean Wilkins (Brighton). Pardew is steadily going about the job is an impressive manner and I feel if we don't get play offs or promotion this season I think we will challenge the title next season.
-
I agree I think his best position is right mid and was superb against Walsall, I think he does alright in the centre of the park and ok at right back but is not the best option we have in either of these areas. At Walsall he was well supported by Murty who has been fantastic when hes played.
-
I would replace Stensgard and Mark Draper with Forecast and Pulis.
-
Yeah the block was brilliant, Perry has been absolutely superb this season.
-
Most admit I agree Forecast is shocking, have seen him play on several occassions. Poke is a better keeper than him. Really Puzzling why we signed him!
-
Very fair ratings, agree with all of these although would have probably given Perry 7 as I thought he played really well. Connolly is absolutely class, if he'd was fit tuesday he would got a couple.
-
I have to agree with Noodles34, Papa was very poor made it easy for them to defend as he was constantly offside, if Connolly would have been fit I reckon he would have bagged himself a couple at least! Think Antonio is a better player but is definitely an out and out winger which are always inconsistant, but at least when he came on he managed to stay onside and cause them problems.
-
Went to the game Connolly is quality and a real fox in the box! (I'm a bloke and mean that in the striker way bot the perverted way!), He will surely end up with as many goals as Lambert. Thought Harding was superb and Antonio looked like a typical winger, one minute **** poor and the next absolute class, he made the second goal with his direct run and the third goal was superb. He is so much better than Papa who I really don't rate! Thought Thomas played well in the place of Trotman. 3-2 definitely flattered them, we took of Antonio at 3-0 and should have carried on hitting them with the pace by bringing on Papa, then we could have won by 4 or 5 but we went really negative although I could understand that but if backfired a bit. Overall really impressed with the second half, first half was terrible! We have a great team for our league and should fear no one! Great turn out by the fans again, which shows we turely don't belong in the third tier!
