  1. So where does the problem lie? It's either with the board or with Puel. It's not the players fault if they're not good enough but if the squad is not up to it then it's down to Les and if they're not playing to their potential it's Claude. What is it because it's one of them?
  2. Unfortunately that comment applies to a lot of our team. Therein lies our problem.
  3. Any comments about the actual game?
  4. Claude's been playing team tombola again.
  5. I guess the one thing that may now go in our favour is that whoever comes in is likely to be getting a fair amount of game time which might not be the case at other clubs.
  6. We were linked with him a couple of days back
  7. Claude must have the inside on some hidden gems from his time in France.
  8. Horror of a first half. Ponderous at best. Much better second half, good 20 minute spell then some old-fashioned hanging-on. Should give some confidence to the team. 3 important points considering recent results and performances.
  9. Stop moaning. Support ffs.
  10. Does that include the commentators as they are being very critical of us right now. Maybe they have an agenda as well?
  11. In what way?
  12. Because never in the history of football has a player ever managed to play twice in 4 days. Never.
  13. How many times and on how many threads are you going to keep posting the same thing?
  14. And yet they're still 3 points and 3 places above us.
  15. That's up to Les and his black box of magic tricks not the fans. Point taken though.
  16. Social Media is the 21st century tool of the professional footballer. Tool being the operative word.
  17. Totally agree. When he first joined us he put in some cracking displays that made you realise why he had been at Bayern and why Guardiola was meant to be a fan. Since then he's done the complete opposite of what you would expect in that his performances have declined. He seems to be stuck out on the right of whatever formation we are currently calling it and he seems lost. Like others I think the 'rotation' is also hurting him. I'm sure he has the potential to be a huge asset for us but something is not clicking right now and whether that's any of the above or the coaching and direction he's getting who knows.
  18. Indeed, especially as you are only 8 months into a six-year contract.
  19. Didn't Puel state he was happy with his squad towards / at the close of the summer window? Still, there are many reasons why he may have said that regardless of whether he actually believed that.
  20. I hope you have a tent. Seems he's injured and unlikely to play. Thankfully.
  21. It's Friday and it's nearly Christmas. Maybe I started drinking a bit too early today.
  22. I'm guessing this thread is not getting the support you had hoped it would Tom
  23. 5-0 to Saints. Pair each from Long and Redmond and a cameo appearance off the bench for Jay brings the up the 5th.
  24. I wouldn't hesitate at all to play McQueen instead of Redmond. In fact I'm beyond surprised that hasn't been happening. Redmond offers nothing. He may come good in time with coaching but right now he shouldn't be anywhere near the starting eleven.
  25. Several things worry me with Puel not least that he was claiming just last week he didn't know what his best 11 was. After 5 months. Whether that's a convenient foil to continue with this rotation policy I don't know but he ought to know by now. Whilst a rotation policy of sorts can have some benefits the one thing that is glaringly obvious with us is the lack of understanding between players. Other than some occasional link up play between Bertrand and Redmond the rest seem like strangers. Hardly surprising.
