After praising Clasie for his hugely improved performance against Burnley I'm afraid he's reverted to type today. PEH must be wondering what he's got to do to get a game.

I don't see a single 'meltdown' on this thread whatsoever. What I see is people discussing a likely scenario in a pretty constructive manner. It is OK to discuss things like this on a footy forum I guess? You know, you don't have to be a 'bedwetter' or a 'happy-clapper'. There is some ground in between for discussion, and if appropriate, critique. Just maybe.

It's funny isn't it. There were a fair few vocal folks questioning Puel who were told in no uncertain terms that it was ridiculous to judge a man on such a short period and yet now there are plenty calling him the new messiah just a few weeks on. But that's OK now. For balance let's see how things are looking at the turn of the year. It's looking a lot brighter now though and long may that continue.

Good game, especially the second half. Impressed with Redmond who bar a 15 minute spell in the middle of the first half was always a penetrating threat. Best game for Clasie for me too. Hugely impressed with Romeu again, in fact good games throughout. Burnley have no chance of staying up if that is representative of their performances. Dreadful.

I hope there's a lot of cheques being presented today as he's a long way short of his target as it stands. Quite an incredible effort he's gone to so I hope folks dig deep today to support him and the charity. Inspirational.

You can add Redmond to that and a few other possibles. Still, job done and a point earned. Puel however will no doubt be concerned about several individual performances and the struggle of many to play the system. Long and Redmond didn't seem to have any idea of what their roles where.

I can't imagine there are too many of our fans who clamour for this type of media coverage.
