Net spend is irrelevant? So, by your reckoning we could sell all 11 players for let's say £10M each but buy one player for £25M and therefore we have, by your unique accounting metric, invested £25M into the team (of one) and increased the depth of it? Wrong said Fred.

Err, no. According to the following we are 17th. Maybe Saint-Fred missed a 1 out? http://www.transferleague.co.uk/premier-league-last-five-seasons/transfer-league-tables/premier-league-table-last-five-seasons *caveat - date of data not specified.

Is that net or gross?

He got criticised for them as they were poorly thought out and executed PR stunts. He's better to follow Ronan's advice.
-
That and Fonte staying are the most likely scenario's right now. Hope I'm wrong on the former.
-
I highly doubt he will be a first choice pick in a years time. Might not even be after the Jan window so his chances of playing in the CL are slim I would say.
-
I'm not all that convinced about the credentials of any of our 'ITKers'. An awful lot of cryptic nothing get's posted. Maybe I'm just a cynic.
-
I'll be (pleasantly) surprised if we do make another signing this window regardless of whether Fonte leaves or not. Claude's happy with his squad. Apparently.

I note that the SSN 'whispers' on the Transfer Centre page has seen Jose's move to Man Utd creep from 4.0 to 4.1 to 4.2 in probability since last evening. I imagine there's some intel behind that, or at least a gathering pace of 'noise'.

Saints Won, Watford 1.....Post match meltdown

As they offered views that differ to yours that makes them trolls? Ok. -
SSN reporting the move will be finalised in the next day or so.

Liverpool Echo claiming Everton after Ashley Williams. I guess with the seemingly inevitable departure of Stones they'll be connected with every decent CB out there.
-
Turnover not profit. If you add one more seat to SMS and sell it then you increase T/O. But it's a pretty meangingless metric in isolation.
-
Let's hope they're not looking in our direction.

Lol yes there is an element of deja vu about it. Their squad is starting to take shape though and in Klopp I think they've at last found someone who can take them forward. Intersting times. I think we'll see the 'return' of Utd, Chelsea, City and to a lesser extent Liverpool.
-
Klopp's only had part of two transfer windows so far and from the outside looks like he's doing a good job of clearing out some of the dross he inherited along with smart buys. I think, finally, we will start seeing Liverpool on their way back to former glories.

Looks like Gaston has / will sign for Boro or is that old news?
-
Depends on your definition as it seems we aren't currently planning to replace him. £13m in the bank I guess you could call a good deal and a good profit considering his age and remaining contract length. Not replacing him however will see us very light in this key position.
-
At £10m I hope he doesn't surprise us. I hope we know what we're getting. It's not exactly a punt on an unknown.

CONFIRMED - Mane joins Liverpool for £34m + £2m addons

Since the day Koeman left and our search started?
-
He said 'are going' not 'gone'. It seems fairly safe to say that Mane is part of that group at this point. He could always do a 'Vardy' of course.

Virtually identical. In an Arnie and Danny type of way.
