  1. I'm not aware of Long's intentions but as he fits our current system so well and whilst we are waiting to see how Obafemi improves over the next couple of seasons we should be offering Shane a new contract.
  2. The logic in this place suggests that Arsenal are about to embark on the same run of wins as we have... who'd have thunk Cedric was the key.
  3. Ok, ignore the "better player" of my statement and you're spot on.. The clubs operating model was exactly to invest to make a profit, our investments the past 2 to 3 seasons have overall been dreadful and we are sitting on a bad hand following those trades.
  4. Except that having better players on longer contracts increases the asset value of the club... apart from that you're spot on
  5. Possession means possession... so we could say that 100% of our passing whilst in possession “found a home”
  6. Corporate treats customers with less respect than they expect, shocker. Doesn’t make it right but also is not unique to Southampton.
  7. Long got an important assist on Wednesday.
  8. The "unplayable" Andy Carroll.... as in he's always feckin injured
  9. The club will probably f£&@ that up by not being relegated
  10. I’m not surprised
  11. I’m assuming this is a rhetorical question or am I guilty of giving you too much credit. We are blooding youth because, for whatever reason, we didn’t have the funds to buy a centre back that we could drop straight into the line up.
  12. You fail to see my logic and then go on to state that we should be beating the "likes of Bournemouth"... Bournemouth who have consistently outperformed us in both league position and transfer market dealings for 3 years now. I am second guessing here but I suspect Ralph is blooding Danso in a position that is not as critical as what will ultimately be his best position - is that easy enough to understand? What I am 100% convinced about is that Ralph is a better manager than all of us on here, unless Pep is a lurker??
  13. Giving a very young centre back league experience at right back could be considered less of a risk than playing him at centre back. It’s been done many times before; Ferdinand, Gomez spring to mind, I’m sure there are others, Webster at Brighton has been playing right back. The most important thing for Danso is that he gains experience, it was painful for him on Friday but he should be better for it.
  14. Maybe Ralph’s looking to build a better defence than the one that would currently be deemed the best. Worth giving him some time to do that with the young talent he has.
  15. Yeah and he's 20 FFS. Give the kid a chance.
  16. I'm happy to judge Ralph's defence by Christmas, more game time for the young Danso and equally the further emergence of Bednarek. We need to go easy on Danso, I think Ralph played him out of position so as not to expose him just yet, it backfired but you can understand the reasoning. Give the lad a chance. As for those turning on Ralph, get a grip. If only we'd had the funds to buy Adam Webster, that looks money very well spent.
  17. Sleepwalking..... seaside bnb
  18. Double parkers.. not a cold mod but a style of car parking becoming the scourge of out time Double parkers, double parking where there is space beside where they've double parked... Double parkers, double parking where there is space beside where they've parked and opposite a junction. That's just dangerous you pr**k.
  19. If anyone can... Ralph can. Nice being able to say that about a manager, it's been a while.
  20. Foolem paid over the odds for most signings last year. We will need a back up for Ryan, the full backs in Ralph's favoured system will be like metronomes so even if he doesn't pick up an injury he will need to be rested.
  21. No need for the animosity. Charlie didn't change his character, physique, injury issues and knack for scoring a goal or 2 since he came here, we knew what we were getting and we got it, I mean that in the positive sense. Good luck Charlie, you gave what you could.

    Sign him up
  23. Or for Sancho to bury the point blank, free header he had to win the match - not seen any mention of that in the aftermath.
  24. Stab in the dark here but I'm guessing you're not the target market for this social media campaign, can't think why.
  25. Who?
