Agreed with this almost entirely. The first 6 months of last season were reasonable enough. The real warning bells began for me when we failed to sign a new CB last January. From that point on it's been a rapid decline and continued lack of proper recruitment. Without a word of admitting to the mistake from the club. This January and the summer have just continued that total lack of adequate recruitment.

Isn't there a sense that .. with the owners living elsewhere there is no-one actually at the club in a position to make a decision anyway?

Just don't know what is keeping him in the job. Players no longer playing for him based on his interview. Surely he will be gone by next weekend...
