Losing to Chelsea is no shame

We did well against all the top teams but they all have these world class players that can make the difference.

Still probably lose but at least we gave them a scare for 45 mins!

Always going to struggle against Chelsea. We survived 8 mins though so far.

2-2 Liverpool. Good result for us as it keeps them both down the table!

Mane isn't a dead loss yet - but today we were much better without him giving the ball away and not passing. More of an off-the-bench type impact player I think.

What a stunning result without most of our first choice midfield. Shane Long MOM Yoshida and Davis close behind. Playing two up front really worked for us today. Better deliveries into the box. Keeper made good saves. Toby was everywhere. The perfect result basically!

Most experienced sub. Should do ok!

He's starting to look tired now though after 75 minutes of hard running.

Fonte out is a blow but we'll have several others back in the team and still have depth to cover in Gardos, Yoshida and Toby.

I really don't know how we are pulling this off so far.. I think the deliveries into the box are much better and playing Pelle and Long alongside each other is reaping reward so far.

Step forward Shane Long - worthy of his price tag today so far!

You can see how the midfield usually protects the defence. None of that today allowing Everton to play balls in and run at us basically.

Decent starting 11 but still worried given our recent form. Must get at least a point today..

We look tired and lacking bite. I think the squad depth is to blame - injuries etc. We need more options.

5 straight defeats and barely a chance on goal created. Tough games ahead. I think we are now performing at the level we expected at the start of the season. Worse today though, to lose to a League 1 side in the quarter finals of a cup is utterly embarrassing.
