+1, Couldn't agree more.
-
Rather it stays 3pm KO tbh, a 12pm start means less time in the pub.
-
It wasn't as bad as it looks. Took 5 mins to get served. We were in the Birkbeck Tavern before hand, smashing little pub, nice beer garden. Quite a few Saints in there but didn't get too busy either.
-
Wasn't Beattie 2nd or 3rd top goal scorer in the prem during the cup final season with about 21 goals?
-
According to this: http://www.saintsfc.co.uk/page/ProfilesDetail/0,,10280~45990,00.html - His current deal with Reading expires next summer, so we could pick him up for free then.
-
+1. Without wanting to sound arrogant we should be beating Brighton 3 or 4 nil at SMS.
-
Yeah - Adam's reply was that those critics were from Pardew & not him or the echo. A good read overall with some interesting questions & points made.

As per the title, according to Daily Echo's Saints twitter. 6pm SS1.

Leyton Orient Ticket Request Thread
saints_is_the_south replied to StuRomseySaint's topic in The Saints
After 1 ticket for a mate, face value + a beer. Can meet either at Soton Central about quarter to 8 tomorrow morning or anywhere in London tomorrow. PM me if possible, cheers. -
Just finished but he'll be back at 2.30 for more questions.
-
I lol'd!
-
Won't affect those of us coming into Waterloo tho - Northern line up to Tottenham Court Road & then Central to Leyton.
-
Indeed, i've put across 2 or 3 reasonable questions now which haven't appeared yet some really stupid questions like the ones i posted above are getting answered!
-
Very interesting to read, but also some right spanners on there asking questions like "will you be sad if poopey go bust" & "i'm going to the game tomorrow without a ticket, what are my chances of finding a spare from someone outside?" wtf!!
-
Have a few in central London in the morning then probably head to this place i think - http://www.beerintheevening.com/pubs/s/34/3403/Birkbeck_Tavern/Leyton

Not sure if this has been posted yet or not but here it is anyway http://www.leytonorient.com/page/HomeTickets/0,,10439~1840018,00.html No cash on the turnstiles, so those planning on trying to get in the home end will have to buy tickets first.
-
& are willing to stand up for the entire game.
-
Cheers - may give one a go.

Mellis in for Hammond if needs be then I'd have thought. Davis James - Jaidi - Trotman - Harding Mellis - Wotton - Morgan Lallana - Papa Lambert

Right, looked into the trains (can't go as far as Feb on national rail site so just used the last Tuesday in Jan that i could). It's possible to do going via London. There are trains back to Marleybone at 22.06 & 22.59 from Wycombe. The 22.06 might be a bit of a push, but the 22.59 train gets back to London at 23.34. Then theres a train back from Waterloo to Soton at 00.05 & 01.05. For 4 people, 1 with a rail card a return from Marleybone to High Wycombe works out at £7.80 each. A standard off peak return to London Waterloo from Soton central with a travel card comes to £17.20 each so all in all 25 notes exactly. Job done.

Up to a spoons at Leicester Sq for breakfast, then across to Leyton to the Birbeck (sp?) Tavern i think.
-
Yeah, they used to swap the away end round every season i believe. The terrace that we were on for the cup game also has a roof on it now.
-
Good one sparticus, for such a pointlesss thread you've really made an effort to post in it. Anyway - teh greyhound site is playing up so not been able to check the times & prices yet. This is what the away end looks like As has already been posted, we'll only be getting around 1600 tickets so could be quite a scramble to get them if Leyton Orient is anything to go by.
-
Wtf is your problem? Pointless? Oh You mean like your Wycombe thread is considering we don't play them til the end of Feb?
-
Yeah, realised this when checking the train prices earlier. Just means getting to parkway, shouldn't be any major problems.
