  1. You counted every green seat?! When you click on a block, it tells you at the top the total number of seats and seats left in brackets.
  2. Eh? Block 43 shows 922 left on the ticket site, but you've listed it as 480?! In fact, all of the figures posted are wrong. There were around 300 left in 1 & 2!
  3. Decent piece here on Osvaldo's departure from Roma - http://espnfc.com/blog/_/name/asroma/id/684?cc=5739
  4. Block 43 shows 922 left for me. I've totted it up and it came to 3,013 remaining.
  5. Played just over 200 minutes of football in pre-season for Roma, plus 90 minutes for Italy last Wednesday.
  6. Over 3,000 tickets available for Saturday, 900 or so of those are available in block 43 in the Northam. Why do the club never tell people that area has been opened up to home fans?! The win at WBA & Osvaldo signing should see a few more shifted this week + walk up on Saturday should see it creep over 30K, depends how many Sunderland have sold mind. Surprised so many are still available with less than a week to go though, poor effort.

  8. @TomCoull: Osvaldo Uncovered anyone? #saintsfc
  9. Looks like Osvaldo Uncovered may be coming up... @TomCoull: Osvaldo Uncovered anyone? #saintsfc
  10. None. Auntie went to the u21s game against Eastleigh the other week and said they all looked really out of shape, and a bit disinterested, the youngsters showed them up big time. If those 4 played in this one then we'd probably see a similar debacle to Leeds last season, one of the inept performances I have ever seen from a Saints team. I'd really consider starting Osvaldo against Barnsley. Get him off to a flyer with a goal or 2 under his belt, and take him off after about an hour. Hope we put out a strongish team in general too, really want to see us take one of the cup competitions seriously this season, after what Wigan & Swansea did last season there is no reason why we could not make a final. Doesn't bother me which competition it is, League or FA Cup. We have a couple of senior players who could do with the match fitness too, like Clyne who has been injured & Yoshida & Gaston who came back late for pre season. My team would be: Davis Clyne - Stephens - Yoshida - Fox Cork - JWP Isgrove - Guly - Puncheon Osvaldo Then fill the bench with a mixture of fringe players & some of the u21s.
  11. Sinclair & Alderweireld would be a fitting end to an immense transfer window. If the centre back is Frederik Sorensen of Bologna, any transfer deal would also have to be negotiated with Juventus who co-own him. In that sense, it would probably be more complex than normal deals & require more time to conclude, so if we want to do that one we'll need to be taking a decision & start getting on with it fairly soon.
  12. Yeah bit of a parting shot at Roma, and a section of the fans there at the end. Can't say I'm surprised!
  13. Last season we were told that "points" awarded for the Leeds game would not be taken into consideration when buying for league games. Absurd, I know but it'll probably be the same case for Barnsley. Worth checking anyway.
  14. First thing that came to my mind when I saw that news reported this morning too. Been a lot of talk about top 8 being a realistic aim, but I think 7th is up for grabs this season too. Everton going through a transitional period with a change in manager, so if they were to lose arguably their 2 best players that would definitely be good news for the likes of ourselves, Swansea, West Ham...etc
  15. Have also seen £38.5K for Gaston banded about.
  16. West Ham are paying Carroll £100K p/w, Downing £70K & I bet Joe Cole is on similar too. Our highest wage earner is on £50K (if the reported €3m per season for Osvaldo is correct). Saints also do not have £70m worth of debt to service & repay by June 2016.
  17. So David Gold seems to think we are now shelling out close to £52m on wages. Pretty sure there were some figures released for last season which showed us at about £25m, and one of the lowest in the PL. Osvaldo is reported to be on approx £2.5m per season. So where has the other £25m that Mr Gold is referring to coming from, or is he talking b******s? We've signed 3 players this summer and handed out new deals to several other players, but would that really have seen our wage bill double in 1 summer? Somehow I doubt it. My guess would be that we are now somewhere between £35m-£40m. Here's the link to Gold's interview btw:
  18. Osvaldo's first words as a Southampton player: "Pochettino makes you work hard" Il Messaggero.
  19. Of course, yes he did. Forgot about that. Still, I don't expect he'll be up to MP's fitness standards so it may take a few weeks for him to get to that level. I'd start him on the bench Saturday, and maybe give him a run out at Barnsley on Tuesday.
  20. Remember watching this game live, watching Juve get turned over with a injury time goal is always enjoyable to watch!
  21. Osvaldo has played 205 minutes for Roma in pre season. His last outing was 69 minutes against Chelsea on 11th August, so by the time we play Sunderland he'd have gone 2 weeks without any match practice. Would not be surprised to see him named on the bench for this one.
  22. Ehm, no he's not. Has taken penalties for Roma, but the main man is Mr Totti in that regard.
  23. He really doesn't, tbh. Yes he's a bit if an arse, but he's never bitten a player on the pitch, racially abused another player or purposely intended to end another players career! Few elbows and red cards here and there, a scuffle in the dressing room and discontent at his manager leaving him on the bench for 75 minutes in a Rome derby cup final, but that's about it.
  24. I hope there is 1 more signing, just to stick it right up David Gold who believes that the Osvaldo signing leaves us on the brink and should be the end of our business.
  25. Thanks, but already posted about 3 hours ago!
