Could be worse. Wouldn't want to be a reading fan this morning. Look at Wigan who lost at home to Bradford. Couldn't even score against them. Let's put this all in to perspective and move on to the next game.

Not about football but thought a few may find this one amusing..

I saw the incident clearly. The fans were giving him abuse and he only threw the bottle on to the pitch perimeter. Nowhere near a fan. Fans then overreacted and he started applauding. Driven by over-emotion on both sides. Let's move on.

Absolutely agree. Almost all of Sam's signings have PL experience. Steve Davis is the only one we have.. I think the only way we can turn it around is to at least have a manager with PL experience. I really like NA and do not want to criticise him or his ambitions but we really need to sort this out.

Play golf with a Palace fan. Said he was poor when he played!

That's offensive. Back off!

With the scouting network we have I can bet you that we have a good list of targets. If we started going for all of them at the same time we would fail miserably at securing any transfers. I bet we have already started talking to other players. No doubt about it! I think it was Big Sam who stated that 95% of their enquiries for players never reach fruition. Let's just relax and enjoy the ride.

I very much doubt that Gaston Ramirez is worth anything like £18 million. If the rumours that Liverpool are willing to match the asking price then good luck. There's one thing paying £24 Million for RVP who is proven in the Premiership but this guy and Bologna are taking the mickey. I would be surprised if NC pays out that sort of money for him. Wherever he goes will be a risk.. Let's move on..

We should sign the Portugese Goalkeeper. Thought he was impressive. -

Absolute c..p. If you take a look at the 2003/2004 average for Saints in the Prem it was 31,351. Pretty close to capacity and that's an average don't forget. How much demand was there that we could not fulfill we will not know but my guess would be that NC has a lot of this data. He's no fool. -
So when Man City were in Div. 1 in the 90s they probably felt the same way. Never say never..

Read the Hull FC OS comments from Nick Barmby who clearly wants to perform in front of the cameras. No pushover from the meanest away defence in the league. If WHU do not score early then I can see Hull getting a result..
-
We just need to match WHUs results and we are clear by 3 points. It's as simple as that. Bristol City need more points, Leicester will not let WHU win.. If they lose one of those then we just need a win and a draw.. Believe.. More twists to come.. Reading think they are all but promoted. Dangerous! If Notts. Forest beat them and we win at Peterborough we go top again.. Don't need motivating for that one..

The Brighton and Hove Albion Appreciation Thread

I watched some of the Gus Poyet interview on the Brighton Player Website. I have to say he is an amateur compared to NA.. Spent the first 5 mins. Complaining about the refs. and what a bad deal he gets and that his team are not dirty. That reputation may be unfair but no smoke without fire. Made me smile.. Take a look.. -
We are 2nd in the form league behind Reading. Not a bad scenario. WHU are way down so I cannot accept that they are on some kind of amazing late run. I think that we will be going in to Friday's game as the underdogs which will suit us.
-
Watching Swansea today and how the stats showed they had more posession but still got stuffed.. Spurs did to them what a few teams have done to us and not let them have time on the ball. Swansea spent most of the time passing it about in their own half..
-
I watched the first half online at UP and apart from the last 5 minutes Reading were ****e.. One set piece and a lucky run of the ball with the second they were undeservedly ahead. Let's not believe they are unbeatable because they are..
-
We didm't play well but who knows the outcome had Sharp scored the penalty.. Poor goals in my view. We were not opened up for any of them. Any other day we may have come away with a result. Not defending the performance though..
-
I still think we can get 2 points per game until the end of the season which would give us 88 points and automatic. Most are assuming that we will not beat some of the stronger teams away but we've proved now that we can perform away and get results. 4 points from West Ham and Leeds proves that.
-
Could easily be us and Reading for the automatic promotion spots.. WHU are by no means certainties now.
-
Stoke City went up as runners-up with 79 Points and West Brom only managed 81 Points that season.. Given the tightness of this league I would bet that we would need closer to 80 Points than 90 to get a top two spot.
-
If you look at most of the opinion here we need RBs, CBs and continuity up front. I think where we will succeed is in midfield. Given the way NA wants to play by passing it from the back through midfiled it puts added pressure on the central midfield pairing who are constantly asked to pick up the ball in deep positions and work it through. When we have been poor in my view is when the two CMs have had a poor game i.e. Cork/Schneiderlin/Hammond. There is so much pressure on them because of our style. Let's hope they can perform well through to the end of the season. If they do then I fancy our chances.

I'll say it again. We will not finish in the top 2!

Absolutely agree. Too many doom merchants around theses days. Of course we were poort today and yet we had some good chances which on another day could have secured us a lucky draw. Let's move on to Cardiff knowing that if we beat them we go 4 points clear of 3rd place. Still a good position. -
If everyone starts coming back from injury then I am not sure we need all the players every one is suggesting. You cannot bring too many players in on the back of injuries unless they are loanees else what do you do when they are all back, fit and ready to play. Not an easy problem to deal with in my view. If we need more cover at CB then we should bring in a short term loan.
