The old "Shots on Target" problem seems to be happening yet again.

Beats advertising NIVEA.

No doubt that Leicester fully deserved the draw. We looked tired in the second half and why we didn't bring on Romeu to shore up the midfield instead of Clasie I don't know. I do wonder however that if Vardy were injured things might be a little different. Not saying they are a one man team but his presence does seem to inspire others.
-
Given the number of new players he's brought in he probably still doesn't know his best team.

We've had 6 competitive games, won 2, drawn 3 and lost 1 scoring 8 conceding 6. Feels worse than that given all the negativity around at the moment. Always look on the bright side of life, eh?

The test will be if he is selected today. If he was keen to leave and offers had been made to further unsettle him then I am certain he won't play. If he does play then I would bet on him staying beyond Sept. 1st.

Post-Match Reaction: SAINTS 1-1 FC Midtjylland

There were times last year when Morgan could have been sent off. In fact he was sent off against Chelsea wasn't he.. Give Romeu a chance FFS.. -
BTW. Note that Adlerweireld has been part of a defence that has conceded 3 goals in 2 games and Harry Kane has yet to score. Could this be a tougher season for Spurs than was predicted. Wouldn't that be nice. Something to cheer me up.

Quite a few below par performances and as many have said the starting lineup seemed too attacking. If Morgan were playing alongside VW it would have been a different game. I did like Romeu when he came on. Fine lines in my view. If Mane had scored at 0-0 we could have won. Seemed a lack of understanding up front today. I am sure it will come. Jrod still to start firing on all four. Hate losing but heh. It's only one football match. Definitely not a 3-0 though..

I don't feel as worried as last summer. I always felt that Clyne, Morgan and Toby would probably leave but in a more controlled manner than last summer. If you include JR coming back and also signing a long deal we now have 5 new players in and so far only 2 out. With rumours that Ramirez may stay that's 6. So the squad is now larger with may be the need for one more if Morgan goes.

Totally agree. Clubs have to earn the right to be called big. Man City we could argue are much bigger than Liverpool and not so long ago they were also languishing in the First Division if you remember. Just making the point that history is not a criteria for being called a big club. You are only as big as your recent results. Athletico Madrid were also in the Spanish 2nd tier and now we would consider them as a big club based on their most recent achievements. That's all I am saying. I get fed up with people brandishing the term "We are a big club" around.
-
So were Blackburn and Leeds not that long ago.
-
Don't begrudge Clyne a move for more money but what gets me is that during his Liverpool interview he is asked about how he feels coming to a big club. What? Only finished one place above us in the table. Not a massive leap in standard of football I say. The level of arrogance at Liverpool is amazing. Living on their not so recent achievements. Also said that Lallana was tapping him up in the US where they met on Holiday. It's funny but don't feel anywhere like the same about our players who have gone to Arsenal. Is that because they at least show us some respect. AW often comments on our Club structure in a positive way. Good on him.

We are carrying too many players. Mayuka, Elia and Djuricic are all lightweight for thr PL. With JR back it's like we've bought a £15m striker. That will help next years cause immensely.
-
Swansea did exactly the same to Arsenal as they did to us. Defended the edge of their penalty area and looked for the break. Arsenal tried to walk it in at times and their goalie had a great game. Oh well. Man City at home for them and they'll want to cement second place. Even if Swansea draw they are still behind us. Let's not get too depressed. Anyway, if we beat Villa makes it very likely that we keep 7th.

Post-Match Reaction: Leicester City 2-0 SAINTS

Well thought through and sensible analysis of where we are. I agree that FF injury seems to have tied in with our poor run. I also watched the game online and convinced that Clyne has his mind elsewhere. My guess is that his comments last week were only used to bump up the fee which is good. £18 million buys us 2 good players to replace him. Let's see. -

Really missed the creativity in midfield. Tadic gives us that but no-one else. When we were flying high it was his creativity that drove us forward. we really have missed Fraser Forster whatever we thought his weaknesses may be. -

Not sure how we lost that. Controlled the second half even after their equalizer. -
He clearly recognizes that he handled the whole episode badly. No doubt that he still has strong affections for the club so let's not go over the top. We should be bigger than that.
-
We've found yet another gem.
-
After tonight's game I felt we really needed Shane Long up front with Pelle when WHU were down to 10 men. I think we miss him more than we think.
-
I thought he was by far our best player tonight.
-
The more I see it the less like a red card it looks. The studs were not up and they both had significant momentum as they arrived at the ball. Lot's of emotion from the touchline probably added to it and the fact that the ref. had missed the Costa incident in the Chelsea Man City game so felt he was being heavily scrutinized.

Some people get silly about losing to lower league opposition. We beat Man U in 1976 in the FA Cup Final FFS. It is written in the Football Bible that these things will happen and they frequently do. We should congratulate Seff Utd. and move on. I think we need to rest Mane. His error led to the Free Kick from which they scored. That would not have happened earlier in the season. Saturday we go in as underdogs now which I hope will suit us. Apart from VW being suspended getting back to full strength. Hey ho!!
