Lee Powell - he was going to be the next big thing in the early nineties, played about 7 games, then disappeared... http://www.soccerbase.com/players/player.sd?player_id=6438

David Howells Chris Woods Trond Egil Soldtvedt

That's actually very very good.

It's all at Soccerbase - http://www.soccerbase.com/teams/team.sd?team_id=2471&comp_id=1&teamTabs=results (Use 'choose another season' to see other seasons - goes back to 1920/21 for league results)

Are you quoting the tweet he did yesterday, or the one today?

Can just picture some Uruguayans trying to work out how to use a fax machine.

Did we tell him "No thanks"?

This * 1000. I am mainly a lurker on here, it seems only Redknapp threads raise my ire enough to post.
-
Not true at all, but its what would Redknapp would have you believe. When he took over we we only just in the relegation zone, and Woodward wasn't appointed until after we were relegated.

_This_ is what has got me really choked up. Right now I am broken. But mainly with tears of joy.
-
While I totally sympathise with this point of view

George Courtney - sent off Jimmy Case for an innocuous "professional foul" on the half way line at Old Trafford.

We were not. We were only just in the relegation zone when he took over (http://www.statto.com/football/stats/england/premier-league/2004-2005/table/2004-12-06) . And then we finished bottom. He came in, was immediately negative about our chances (banging on about what a 'massive job' it would be to keep us up) and never took any ownership or interest. Total c|_|nt.

There isn't a single player who I can be bothered to hate. The one's who left to go onto greater things, well good luck to them; and those whose careers subsequently downhill, well it evokes a certain amount of schadenfreude in me. But I can not suppress the bile rising in me when that self promoting dishonest **** Harry Redknapp appears on my TV. He may be the only person in the World I can truly say I hate. I'm angry just thinking about him now. If he ever becomes England Manager (and only a complete moron would think that was a good idea) England football will be dead to me until he is replaced.

Shame most of these aren't on youtube. People must have them on video somewhere, we should try to get them all uploaded.

This is ace!

While I totally agree with Matt being at the top, it is a really dumb list. While great footballers, players like Bergkamp and Gerrard can't be considered some of the all-time best penalty takers, they have both missed several. It would be interesting just to see the same list ordered by success rate. And James Beattie should totally be in there.

Tony Adams now 6/1 Surely they couldn't get it that wrong -

They either know something - or have massive liabilities on Strachan - which to be fair could be caused by Saints' fans wishful thinking. -
SSN - Sky Sport still reporting Davis to West Ham

Top top bloke. If only all the other players had that attitude. -
The People is a joke of a newspaper. its totally made up and, and so badly researched (i.e. they probably aren't on top of the fact that the Pinnacle bid has collapsed) that its utterly implausible
-
That article just shows what a terrible newspaper the echo is. Other than the headline, there is no indication of what he's saying at all, no direct quotes, nothing. Terrible reporting.

If true it will be nearly as big a coup as when we signed the then European Footballer of the year in 1980
