  1. Spot on
  2. I see Iago Falque is now playing for Roma . I wouldn't have predicted that after one anonymous half for us in the championship.

    Toby

If this is the case, what I don't understand is why we're bothering to negotiate, or even play it out in the media. If we have in effect a contract to sign Toby we should send the funds and just get Toby over to sign his contract, shouldn't we?
  4. I find it all too easy to imagine finishing 4th, then losing the qualifying round to an East European minnow I haven't even heard of yet. That would be The Saints Way :-/
  5. It's here: http://sportsworld.nbcsports.com/pl-download-the-southampton-way/
  6. He has 2 and a half years left (till the Summer of 2017: http://www.saintsfc.co.uk/news/article/schneiderlin-signs-until-2017-678957.aspx)
  7. I'd take Henry/Bergkamp/Pires/Ljungberg every time. (mainly for Henry at his best - simply unplayable)
  8. Interesting...also also as far as we know Poch only wanted Schneiderlin, not any of the others.
  9. Like! This please.
  10. "I'm committed to Southampton" - in his own words. Get in.
  11. According to BBC gossip, Leicester are offering £8m for David McGoldrick. If that really is the going rate at the moment, it puts the £12m for Shane Long into perspective.
  12. Agitating to leave is one thing. Refusing to play is quite another. While I don't think he appears to be behaving that well, he is very far from Kenwyne Jones right now.
  13. I see betfair have just started taking money on Clarence Seedorf
  14. It would be funny if it was a joke. It's just all too believable.
  15. Les Reed's statement is 99% great and re-assuring. Just wish he hadn't said 'probably'...
  16. When was the last time a current Southampton player played in a World Cup finals game? I know some of the legends in the banner played in World Cups, but not while at Saints. Has there been anyone since Terry Paine for England v Mexico in 1966?
  17. If he goes to the World Cup and then is still with us next season, then I'd have him in the banner.
  18. I'd really love the sash to become our 'permanent' kit. A strong nod to tradition, and nothing like Stoke/Sunderland. Failing that, I'd go for Rank Xerox style stripes.
  19. I think we're done:
  20. Confirmed now:
  21. I can see this being a repeat of what happened with Mido (if so, hopefully in every way: i.e. he ended up being a bit ****)
  22. That would be an epic shirt (IMO)
