Queued for 15-20 minutes on Saturday, (on the way back from the tip), and renewed my 3. Dad will be doing his today & my sons mate will be doing his next Saturday (well his Mum will). I've been told by a mate, (who is co-incidentally a mate of the 2 who sit in front of us) that they are renewing. So that's our little group of 7 all reunited again.

Chaplow also has championship experience with us. -
Roger Daltrey at Broadlands, July 16th (I think).

That brings back memories, well sort of fuzzy ones anyway.

The guys on horseback are not matadors, they are called picadors and are there purely to soften up the bull for the matador. I admire the horese riding skills of the picadors, but the rest of it is pretty abhorrent.

Excellent news. Just hope he can cut it in a higher league.

Insane requirements for staggered ST payments
Dimond Geezer replied to View From The Top's topic in The Saints
A proportion (50% I think) needs to be paid up front, so this could be taken by credit card. However, iirc the TO doesn't have pin facilities, so any family members coming disguised as the genuine STH will need to practice the signature, rather than memorise the pin. -
I got one, but I deleted it without reading it as I thought it was spam (I've been getting spam from people with unusual names recently). If it had come from "Southampton FC", I'd have read it. I wonder how many others did this?

Be honest now, that clap of thunder was enough to make anyone cr @p themselves, there's no need to blame the cat.

Stand in front of me & you'll get a gob full.

Wow. Assuming you worked 40 weeks per year, thats £108,000 pa. That's some salary at todays prices, let alone the 80s & 90s.

That's excellent. I wish I had 1% of that skill. A bit disappointed that neither of them volleyed the ball into the basketball hoop. Loved the reaction of the lads behind, very funny.

I have a mate whose wife is retraining, I believe she is 3 years into a 5 year course, in those 3 years she has not had a penny of income, they barely get by on his salary alone which is around the average salary level. For those of us with families, mortgages, etc simply retraining is not a viable option. My family couldn't get by for 5 years on my wife salary alone. With regards to the highlighted bit, I don't believe for one moment that the entire class are bored & disruptive, sure there will be some, but if it is the whole class that brings into question the quality of the teacher, who I believe is there to inspire, not just teach. I would suggest retraining to a profession more suited to your skills if teaching is becoming a chore (I assume you are a teacher).

You're right, and I support the low paid bin men. However, I don't support the highly paid teachers.

Don't think so, back on strike tomorrow I believe. They've done Appleton, but not Hillside or Dimond (where I Live). For those that don't know, you can only access Appleton from either Dimond of Hillside. One would assume that a bin man lives somewhere in Appleton Rd.

My sons school have, on strike Thursday, INSET day Friday. I heard from the secretary at my youngest sons school, that their last INSET day was team bonding at Go Ape, she is new to the job and when she expressed surprise was told by the head that "it was one of the perks of the job". Tough life innit.

I've got 5, one for rugby coaching, one for Cubs, one for Ambulance service and each for my sons schools. What a waste of time & money.

I watched about half the Coldplay set, they are not my cup of tea, I find them a bit bland and insipid and I think Chris Martin has a very weak & wishy washy voice. Having said that, they seemed to get the crowd going, and that's what it's all about. If you don't like them don't go to their gigs, or watch them on the telly. If you do like them, fair play & enjoy the gig. A band that surprised me was Kool & the Gang, again it's not my type of music, but for a bunch of old timers they did a good set & looked they were having tge time of their lives. I couldn't believe it when the trumpeter did a cartwheel across the stage, he must have been over 60.
