  1. Why would you call your son "House"?
  2. Bloody 'ell. I didn't expect that. What a game, shame about the pen, didn't look like one where I was (about as far away as you can get). I always said last years team would be ok this year & with the exception of Cork, that's exactly what it was, and they didn't look at all out of their depth, Leeds are no mugs. I'm confident about this season. Bring on the Skates.
  3. It would be more helpful if you could rate them with this: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bristol_Stool_Scale For your delight & delectation, I'm generaly a Type 4, but due to a rather unfortunate, yet sometimes quite spectacular, bowel complaint I can occasionally get to a Type 6 at short notice. Before diagnosis I was doing a 7. You really don't want to be either in my way, or following me in to the thunder-box when I have a flare-up.
  4. My god absolutely not. There is no way I would put my delicate white a rse on one of those p iss drenched seats. Especially when you factor in the lack of locking device on the door, or more worringly no paper & having to resort to using my (glossy) programme to wipe with.
  5. As a tourist attraction, Liverpool has a lot more to offer than Southampton. I wonder if they (Liverpool council) are hoping this would appeal to tourists & they will spend a bit of time (and money) in the city. However, if I'd just disembarked from a cruise & had two weeks of luggage to lug around I think I'd jump straight into a taxi & get home.
  6. Sorted. Time to lock this thread before it degenerates into the usual slanging match between the liberal elite & the far right.
  7. Hopefully someone in admin will come back to me on this (I've already pm'd but had no response). I am changing my email address to an @btinternet.com address, when I visit my settings to do this, I get: Unfortunately we do not accept email addresses from your domain name/email provider - in particular, we block access to known "free" email providers to prevent users registering multiple accounts. You will need to enter another address in order to continue - perhaps from your ISP, workplace or college/university. If you think this is done in error, please click here to contact the administrator. Perhaps someone in a position of power can contact me. Ta DG
  8. Nothing wrong with being poor. It's people who are too lazy to look after themselves & have no respect for others who are the pain. Wealth has no bearing on politeness, the ability to bin litter or keep your living accomodation clean.
  9. All I know is that my 'Y' plate fiesta failed on Monday costing me £250. To compound the joy, the sump is leaking, that will cost another £250, but as it doesn't form part of the MoT, it can continue leaking on the road & in my parking space at work, until I can sell one of the kids into slavery.
  10. They'll be gone by Sunday though. There were travellers on Riverside about 9 years ago. They pitched up about a week before the fair arrived. Rumour has it that the Coles (running the fair) had a "quite word" and they moved on sharpish.
  11. What support do people expect? I manage to keep my property clean & tidy. No one has ever knocked on my door and said "Well done Mr Geezer, you're garden is looking very tidy today". It can't be financial support, because as tenants, I would assume they are not responsible for the upkeep of the fabric of the property.
  12. Townhill Park isn't quite as bad as people make out. The private area from Woodmill Lane up to about the bus turning area is relatively nice, there are some skanky flats from the bus turning up to Townhill Way, but it's not a violent area and I wouldn't have any qualms about walking through there at night. I would guess this is the same with all areas. My in-laws live in Lordshill & although it's gone downhill in the last 20 years, I wouldn't fear it. Unfortunately, and this can be said for all areas, it's the chavy/lazy minority few that let the area/estate down, and these people generally live in rented accomodation and have little regard for the community, other people or property.
  13. As long as your "mate" feels better, that's ok then. Still a coward. I would have thought a military man like yourself would've felt nothing but disdain at the actions of a coward, guess I was wrong.
  14. Sausage & egg Mcmuffin is the best, but I usually go for a for the Big Breakfast meal, on the premise that it's easier to turn the pages of my newspaper with a knife & fork in my hand, than a mcmuffin dripping fat.
  15. So the bold bit plus this little gem in your opening posts "hammer through their windows at night" doesn't rank as cowardice. From Dictionary.com: cow·ard/ˈkouərd/ Noun: A person who lacks the courage to do or endure dangerous or unpleasant things. In other words, scared of a confrontation with this person, but happy to put a window through under the cover of darkness & run away so "they wont have a clue who it is". Sounds pretty cowardly to me.
  16. If it isn't a he that makes you...oops sorry your friend, an even bigger coward.
  17. Me too
  18. Coward, grow some balls and front him out.
  19. Definitely, maybe, outfield players peak at 28, goalies a bit later (30 I think), so time is on his side at the moment.
  20. Excellent news, Bart just isn't good enough yet. I think I'll trust Adkins judgement.
  21. Benny Hill used to live in Westrow Garden, about 2 minutes walk from The Dell. He would walk past my office in Archers Road, almost daily, on his way to Co-op in Bedford Place. I bumped into him on several occasions. If you greeted him, he would always reciprocate, and he was always smartly dressed, usually in a light grey suit, with an open necked shirt.
  22. Yeah, your memories are better than mine, you're both right, I've just looked it up on Youtube. I does appear that a free kick is given after he's done it.
  23. Christ, I'd forgotten about that. I'd give you guys a run for your money any time. (as long as it was 80's music)
  24. Just a beard, then I'd go for Kelvin, but ,if we're counting 'taches I'll nominate Frank Worthington.
