Urban Exploration (abandoned/vacant sites etc)
qwertySFC replied to saintscottofthenortham's topic in The Lounge
Urban x is a network that have investigated quite a few vacant buildings within Southampton area - currently one of the "big " hits at the moment is the Ordnance Survey building - currently causing a lot of interest - It can be quite a dangerous "hobby" however the buzz I guess is to tick off the venues. There is a huge difference in gaining access just to explore as opposed to causing criminal damage there is a un- written set of rules for Urban Exploration - its a big like BASE jumping - the thrill is ticking off the venue . There is very small network within the Southampton area that are extremely interested in Urban Exploration - due to the nature of the hobby it is not well publicised for obvious reasons - It stems from the film 28 days later - if people want to know more follow the forums - the house used for the military part of 28 days later is within 30 minute drive from Southampton - great location. -
Hampshire County Council rationalising to the tune of £55m in 2011/12

As said earlier the sickness record is somewhat unbelievable in Adult Services - ( My Ex Department) - with on average 17 days per year was the agreed figure some while ago via internal memos - if you consider that a huge wad of the staff were well - and I mean well above those 17days sick leave. In response to some of the quotes in relation to my RCD episode - the supplier for HCC is its own internal company - its not like it was ever put out to tender unlike gardening / building and maintenance contracts where procurement comes into place - the majority of the operation is a joke - their is a culture of "jobs for the boys" people get promoted to senior positions without interview or advertisements being placed - the current mileage rate of 53.8 pence per mile has for years been bumped up often as a sweetener / lip service by the negotiations in relation to pay increases. As previously stated - it is a shame that a lot of shopfloor hard working staff will suffer in what has already been termed "savage" cuts by some senior managers ( I still keep in touch) and surprise surprise pay off packages for the senior managers is not to sniffed at - it was already agreed some time ago that this would be the way forward ( I'm so pleased not have the usual "gagging order" in place) it was all costed that they would be paying vast amounts of money in the first 12 months to senior management in redundancy . The plans for the first six months of 2011 will shock most people who are in need or require a service - the current "consultation" is yet another debating society / lip service when plans have already been agreed -
I don't know his number - but walked past his house on Wednesday evening

The whole set up is a complete circus and the waste incurred by the management is unbelievable - as an ex employee for 9 years I can tell you if Alan Sugar was running this place I know what he would say. 1 tiny tiny example - I wanted to purchase an RCD plug for 1 piece of equipment - was informed by the management only to purchase from their own HCC supplier .... B&Q = £6 county supplier raked in at just under £15 - its a shame that so many hard workers on the "shopfloor" will suffer where as the senior management well - thay have an easy ride for so long - -
I believe that the excuses thrown out by Cotterill act as a sort of smoke screen to hide his poor management skills - when the skates were on a decent run of form no mention was made about the lack of players - lack of money - lack of communication with BC - I think he is just being found out to demonstrate that he is a crap manager , very poor PR skills - constantly bleating on in the press how hard done by he and the club is - at no time does he take any blame for his poor tactics and inability to teach his team some basic defensive skills - to add the reason why he is not being linked with the numerous positions that have become available recently is because of all of the above

As with all players I think JP maybe has some inconsistency in his play due to a lack of confidence - It's a shame that he has often been the subject of some criticism as he has shown that he is a good player. Often players know when the crowd is on their back and I do believe this can have a knock on effect - maybe he feels unwanted here. As a team pushing for promotion we should be giving our 100% support to those who cross the white line , it is a shame there always seems one player that gets a rough deal - lets get behind Jason and stop being negative - we have an excellent chance of winning this league and we will need every experienced player on board

Same person - 1 million Euros and a 3 year deal is on the table - time will tell if there information is up to scratch -
-
I have heard today he has been offered a 3 year deal is on the table - make of it what you want - I have no reason to doubt the person who has a close association with Guly in a non football matter - time will tell if the information is credible
-
Personally - I'd love to see this type of support in the Chapel end - lets make this part of the ground "just for us" - to have this level of support flags ect for away teams and fans could demonstrate just how much we are on the rise and how well supported this great club is - we need to be more passionate about our club & team and let the opposition know they are in for a tough intimidating game at St Marys - bring it on I say -

Excellent news and a very powerful statement of intent by the club . I think NC has once again shown how professional the club is in conducting business.

I love this quote from a Pompy representative - "Alternative premises were being used for ticket sales because the ex-owner of the club, which recently escaped being liquidated by administrators, still owns the ticket office and this was not open."

Exeter reject Brighton bid for playmaker Ryan Harley
qwertySFC replied to stu0x's topic in The Saints
I'm sure our aim is a bit higher - good player but as said by the club - we want quality . I honestly can't see us making a bid for him because he does not solve any current concerns or add value to a Championship side. -
The Self Destruct button has been pushed; Players coming out and lambasting the owner Manager who don't know what is going on Fans don't have a clue what to do and arguing between themselves Total silence from the Owner DL on holiday Have players on top wages who can't play - but have to be paid Attendances going down hill - Transfer budget - On record as being "bargain basement special" Club infrastructure falling apart - no youth policy The whole thing is utter chaos Still never mind - I hear Maradonna and the new ground will soon be sorted
-
Ever tried Nestle Milo ??
