Indeed - surely the idea about a forum is to discuss opinions - some people may agree or disagree with mine but hey ho _ its a pass time. Just out of pure interest and I can't be that arsed to look - How much did Norwich spend in the jan window prior to promotion ?

Just a few points - Who in there right mind would suggest that ML dying wish was this ? We don't have the best academy in the country or the best training facilities or staff ( Decent but not the best) Fan base - SWF is hardly a majority of fan's - a couple of dozen people who write on an internet forum is not indicative of feelings about the club. One thing about mindsets is to remove the fantasy and deal with some reality - I think we should be more afraid of statements that make us look stupid

Quite a simple reason why the press don't cover SFC - unfortunately we are not a big team that warrants such a mass media coverage - Some may think we are but the reality is no one outside our catchment area is that interested - It's not like we have Champions league news or in the top four of the premiership and until that happens or we sign Kaka it will always stay the same

Personally I support The saints - what goes on the pitch is far more important that any squabble - What the club does outside of its main agenda - "Promotion to the premier league" I don't really give a monkeys arse. Parking fees , freebies, charity what ever the scenario is it is just not of interest. The club has a charity foundation and it is an official arm of the company that really should be the end of the story - It seems some people are bitter about NC - what I would say is have a look around the country and see how many fan bases / clubs would cut their arm off for a chairman like ours. The club is moving forward in my opinion in the right way - ON THE PITCH...every thing else is of no interest, I don't support Saints because we have a nice charity, have a free car park or give people who already have the resources to pay for tickets a free one every game - I support them because of the FOOTBALL and winning

Don't see the argument at all - yes I'm sure every one appreciates what past players / managers have done for SFC over the years but by making everyone pay NC removes ALL of the favouritism to ALL people - Just who is to say that they deserve free tickets ??? Are we suggesting that relatives of Bobby Stokes have tickets ? Maybe we should give free tickets to AOC Dad - after all he has just given the club £12m - if you give free to one to have to justify when you don't to others - When I was a social worker I was not entitled to free social care ...

Time will tell - Maybe Man Utd are the team who are keeping the closest eye on AL - According to Michael Owen Saints are on fire and he believes Saints will be "back where they belong next season" - so the start is being noticed

Bit of a difference between Al and AOC here. Chamberlain senior in my opinion always knew that the Saints academy was always a "shop window" for his son and maybe AOC had his head turned by the prospect that Wenger was chasing him. In AL case I think we have a bit more of a level headed player here - there will always be speculation about all SFC players following the start we have made.

What the good start indicates to other teams is that we mean business - able to grind out results - not here to just get through the season and "consolidate" our position as NPC team to build a steady progress over the next few years - how many teams aspire to this - you hear it all the time. I don't think many teams will be looking forward to playing us and that is exactly what we need - Nigel wants to win every game whether it be League, Carling & FA Cup because winning breads confidence - makes the team players step up another level - no one wants to be left out of a winning team . For years as a Saints fan - I can't remember how many times I have heard well - "we can concentrate on the league now" or - "survival is the main target" - psychology we have a winning mentality which has spilled over from last season. It appears that pre season was good for the players - if we had started the season with a loss and a draw I guess some people on here would be slating the manager or team / however we have set our stall out from the start - winning our first three games - what this does is send out the signal to other teams - Saints are going for it and I believe that Nigel will keep the players feet on the ground - not get over confident - and really take one game at a time. As a Saints fan - it is a very nice positive era and long may it continue . One thing I do read a lot is many other teams fans forums and I see comments / anguish and frustration ( Not all teams but a majority) at the way their club is going forward in very negative way - In fact it is like reading our own site a few years ago - so be positive, confident and a little arrogant about our start - The only way is up.

I don't deny AOC has got talent - but why Arsenal a team on the decline within the Premiership - all I'm saying is AOC is currently not the answer Arsenal need at this moment in time -

If AOC goes to Arsenal - I feel it is a huge mistake - lets face it - exactly what have they done over the last few seasons - If he wants success sign for Man Utd or Barcelona / Real Madrid even - If he is that good might as well play for the best - AOC is NOT going to change the fact that Arsenal are years behind the above mentioned teams and I personally can't see them hitting the jackpot of a premiership title for a quite a few years to come

I think JP answered the leading questions very well - All players don't connect with all managers , Maybe NA was trying to motivate him through a lack of form using OXO and he couldn't cope with the fact . If we had been promoted last year through the play off's I doubt this thread would have never started - unfair !! well all teams know the rules prior to the season kicks off and as Bournemouth & Brighton have been the most consistent teams - fair play to them, with the depth of our squad , resources available we should be doing a lot better and the play off's may be our saving grace this season.
