  1. I remember the 3-0 against Portsmouth very well.We took them apart, and how they finished with 11 men on the pitch[ after kicking lumps out of us, to keep the score down],I do not know. Where we are now, and they are , is to say the least heartbreaking.
  2. Mcgoldrick in the four games I have seen is patently not good enough.[ The games were Ipswich- poor, Coventry - scored but ordinary, Watford- woeful, missed penalty and numerous other chances. The last game was Plymouth and he missed best Saints chance of night with dreadful control.
  3. I expect Lowe went into the changing room after the game to tell them how well they played. A totally woeful performance against another ordinary side with a couple of battering rams up front, but hey there are some on here who still see positives. This is the worst side I have seen in 45 years supporting the club.[ I do not blame the kids in as much as they have been thrown in the deep end, but most of them are not presently good enough for this league].
  4. God. [ Only in his own mind of course]
  5. Ivan Golac followed closely by Jason Dodd.
  6. Lowe is so perfect in his deluded mind, I am sure that he has never got less than full marks in anything he has ever done. After all he has never made a mistake in his entire life, as that is always down to everyone else.
  7. I saw the interview on sky sports news, Lowe is so full of his own self importance, that I am surprised that it was not shown on the national news. Also does the prat think he is watching Manchester United listening to the type of football he was describing.
  8. Something has to give. Ridiculous wages especially in the premiership are going to kill the game.[ I actually meant obscene wages]. As an aside, the old maxim, that it is only a short career should never wash. Footballers can retrain like many private and public workers have to in their lifetimes. That is excluding the ones who have so much money that they will never have to work again. Any sensible person who does not think footballers are grossly overpaid is surely deluding themselves.
  9. I see the pompous prat is still blaming everyone else, bar himself for the position the club is now in. If you read the biography of Frank Worthington[1994- just read it], he says Mcmenemy had the biggest ego in football. I am sure Lowe would have equalled it, had he been around at the same time. No wonder the two massive egos hate each other.
  10. I do not hope for relegation, or administration, I agree we must stay up. Probably the first time I have agreed with CB FRY. However I will always feel that we will be much, much better without Lowe and his despicable cronies.
  11. Good news, I was in the same class as his niece, I am sure she will be delighted.
  12. Mark Wright and Michael Svensson with Jim Steele for back up.
  13. Saints legend, happy birthday for tomorrow Mick.
  14. The best part of it is that Professor calls himself an educated man.
  15. Fan The Flames, your last sentence is spot on .[ For a lot who post on here].
  16. Is the sky blue?
  17. You could not make it up if you tried. I spoke to a guy at the game last night, who has supported the club for 57 years, and he said he will not be coming back next year, if Lowe and Wilde are still here. There are more and more fans saying the same, but you still get some on here defending them.
  18. Lowe and his cabal have ruined the club.
  19. Another okay performance against a typical championship side. First half played well and well on top, second half more even. Overall we should have won the game. I thought Mcgoldrick should have scored when he had shot cleared off line.[ had he not slightly overun the ball he would of had a clear run at goal, and therefore would have had a clear one on one with the keeper, who looked dodgy all night].
  20. About right for Lowe to blame everybody else bar himself and cronies. The word delusional was put in the dictionary just to describe that man.
  21. Magnificent result[totally unexpected, I thought we would beat Wolves and lose heavily today]. However as with the Preston result it will count for nothing if we lose at home to Plymouth.
  22. Mark Dennis, terrific footballer, only his temperment stopped him from winning a bucket load of England caps.
  23. Arguably the best header of a football ever in british football, with Terry Paine crossing the ball you had the perfect combination. Only my opinion of course, as I only started watching football in 1963, and was not around to see the likes of Lawton. Lofthouse etc.
  24. Reading are scoring goals for fun. I am afraid they are likely to run rings around Svennson and who ever plays in the back four. Great shame regarding Svennson because in his prime he was one of the top centre halves in the premiership.
  25. Did Shilton ever claim a corner. When we beat Coventry 8-2, he should have saved both goals [ both shots from over 30 yards]. When he was here he was well past his best. Plus most of his time here he had a good defence, something Eric Martin seldom had in his time at the club. I did see Shilton almost single handedly get Leicester a point here in 1969, until Ron Davies powered a header past him in the last minute[ aged 19] and he was great then.
