Both Murray and Cortese should stop acting like bed-wetting 5 year olds. The Southampton local paper should be able to photograph the local game for the benefit of the local public, fans or not. I don't like the Echo much, and barely read it, but childishness is reigning supreme over this.

Let me put it another way but with a subtle change in the probability to make it more accurate in my opinion: He'll be back in the treatment room soon, no doubt. He's probably the best striker at the club when fit.

Must have changed his name by deed poll. Was Nigel Adteeth at one time.

Is there any mileage in suggesting our ability to win games has increased while MS was away with the French, or on the bench? Oh, how could you suggest such a thing, Hughie.

Absolutely right. However, there are so few new posts now you really don't need to grab attention with a provocative title, though why anyone should have such a lack of a sense of humour that your original could even be thought provocative is entirely beyond me. And even if it is, so bl**dy what? I'ts now so prissy and analy-retentive it isn't really worth even bothering to look in anymore.

But Smirking Saint says the problem isn't now with the builder..... so the state secret is still safe....

..and if you are going to eat something make sure it's not a ring full of hollow calories.

Possibly becuase no one knows what it contains? I have a five year plan too. Can't really tell you what the milestones are, so I'll let others make them up, make assumptions. People keep saying things like "we are very professionally run, we have a five year plan...." assuming it has in it whatever is necessary to get 2 promotions. Smirking Saint's posts seem to boil down to "there were problems because of the builder.. there aren't problems with the builder now, other things are holding it up, but it isn't finance". So if we have planning consent, we now have the builder on-side, and we have the money, what on earth is the problem? Are the plans being changed? Were they not what we needed at the outset? Are the wrong kind of leaves falling in the trenches? What's the state secret over a bit of training ground rebuilding? Bring in John Pilger, guys.

I'm more concerned that all Adkins can shout at the team is that they should pay attention to their eyebrows. Silly pluckers.

I think he is ok, too. And neither do I think he is a crap pundit, a lot of what he says makes more sense than Lawrenson or Hanson ever will. And he cannot be more up his own arse than those two. And why is a bloke a w*nker just because he doesn't mention every five minutes that he played for us, when all his success was with other clubs? He was glad to leave here because (he has admitted) he didn't really feel he was an important part of the squad. That's not being up his own, but believing he could contribute and achieve more elsewhere. Was he wrong?

Is this the way to treat a new post? It's one of the very few new ones started nowadays. Make the most of it. I'll go back to sleep now. You remaining three carry on with the tea party.

Law 2 specifies that the ball should have a circumference of 68-70 cm (27-28 in), a (dry) weight 410-450 g (14-16 oz), inflated to a pressure of 0.6 to 1.1 atmospheres (59-108 kPa, 8.6-15.7 psi) "at sea level", and covered in leather or "other suitable material". An extra 2 oz weight max is hardly making it like a shot put. However the pressure can make a big difference, and if inflated to its max might make it feel like iron. But they're all pussies today. Ask Geoff Astle. Oh, he died of illness brought on by brain damage from excessive heading of a wet 1950s/1960s shot put, sorry, football.

In the flesh you ask. The closest to a fully nude "strip" was Frank Worthington. Short sleeves rolled up to the armpits, shorts rolled up into the R scrack. -

Are you talking about Jan 1964? Wasn't it 3-2? I may well be wrong but I can't imagine that crowd being surpassed later on. -

I disagree, the fault lies with a sculptor taking a job using a material he had no experience with, and no ability to work at that scale. The artist should have known it better than the commissioners. -

Didn't you see 50 year old Stan play for Stoke against Saints at the Dell? Running was barely part of his game by then though, he just kind of stuttered on the spot. -

Without a doubt. What amazed me about GB was that you could really feel the heightening of tension everytime he got the ball, and somehow with a hip wiggle gaps all around him just seemed to appear. He was so hard to get near and disposess. And he did it in an era of cloggers, thugs, Ron Harris and Leeds United (note the elevating scale of dirtiness). -

I love it that the flags (pennants) are flying in opposite directions! I dread* to see what the rating holding a cannon ball and getting ready to salute will look like. * I meant "can't wait". -
Rubbish. Collins is a cvnt. And a troll. FACT. He's a Lowe/Sturrock/Hoddle/Branfoot/Redcrapp/McMenemy/Victorian/Pinacle/Orange Duo/Wilde luvvie. END OF. And he thinks that MLT is an acronym for Multi-Lingual Thesaurus.

This time Rupert makes a valuable contribution to a football discussion between football men.... by keeping his mouth firmly shut. -
Somehow Saints and Huddersfield signing one each of conjoined twins just wasn't working.
